ok several questions here but just doing some ground work. what i need to find out is

 

#1 i have a vg30i in the 93 and a vg30 in the 88. the vg30i needs a new bottom end. i want to go injected. so will the bottom end of the vg30 bolt straight onto the vg30i

 

#2 i have auto in the 88 and manual in the 93. i do realise a swap can be done but refer to question 3

 

#3 with the ecu will i have to go the one for the vg30 or the one for the vg30i if it all bolts together. not shure on the wireing for the auto conversion aswell. or will that hook upto the manual plugs and cable?

Everything is engine-wise interchangeable. You'll have swap wiring harnesses to run the different computers as the pins and clip for the ECUs are entirely different.

 

VG30I is throttle body injected and VG30E is the multi-port injection. If you want to change to an automatic transmission, you'll need that entire wiring harness, aftermarket transmission cooler, press a flex plate locating spacer in to the back of the manual transmission engine block (after removing the pilot bushing), a different Throttle Position Sensor, probably a different speedometer gear, etc.
