I just got this pathy about 4 months ago and I am looking into doing my ring and pinion. I am a gear head but never with those gears. I dont even know where to start, where to find them, what ratio i need, how to install them (backlash, centering so on and so forth). 87 pathy SE w/ 33-10.50

thanks

Gears for the rear alone are $400. You can get 4.90's or 5:13's, I forget which, from the Nissan dealership ordering from the NISMO book. If your Pathy has a manual tranny, you can easily swap out your diffs for the diffs from an auto-equipped Pathy from 87-90 or so, then you'd have 4.625's instead of 4.375's.
