low voltage at fuel pump

Changed the fuel tank on my son's 94 Pathfinder. After getting it back together, doesn't start, don't here pump working. Checked pump connection and the gauge wire seems fine, but the pump power wire barely lights the test light. Seems like low Voltage. Got dark outside so I haven't used an Ohm meter on it, but was wondering if someone else ran into a similar problem. Will check to make sure wire isn't broke near connector tomorrow. Connector itself doesn't look bad. Any thoughts. Seems this truck is possessed, the easiest jobs become nightmares.
