pace setter headers

i saw these headers on ebay: pace setter headers are these headers any good? if i get them will i have a problem installing them because of the bolts to the manifolds being busted? i know that i have few of the bolts broken into the block and a few years ago we tried to take the bolts out of the block but couldn't acutally take the bolts out, would this be a problem? :help: or do i just take the headers into a shop and tell them that the bolts are broken into the block and they'll do the rest?

I had a set of Thorley headers installed in my '87 6 cyl. It took me a while to find a shop that would even do the job because it's such a PITA. They charged me $100 over the estimated $400 because of all the broked manifold studs, but after seeing the guy's bloody knuckles I'd say it was worth it. I've heared Pacesetter has fitment and build quality issues, but I think Mr. Jim put 'em on his rig without major problems plus the Thorleys cost more and are in short supply right now. Either way I highly recommend headers. They really wake the motor up.

Pacesetter headers are cheap and crappy, but work. They're made in Mexico. Broken manifold studs are always a problem, deal with them as you can, if you can personally do the work of removing them yourself, it'd save a ton over having a shop do it for you.

i havent heard much about them on the use of pathys, but from hearing other vehicle owners testimony (more like rants) i say save your money and pay the extra for a good set. the flanges are often warped already from the factory. mounting points arent always correct, the paint or ceramics quickly wear off, then your stuck with rusty old pipes again, fitment is bad..need i go on?
