Emergency, Red code.

 

I have a 1997 nissan Pathfinder. I drove the vehicle for about 124 miles as soon as I reach my destination I was unable to reverse. Step on the gas pedal while on reverse the car don't respond. On drive, I've noticed the vehicle respond poorly then pick up speed gradually. Can someone explain to me what's going on and what are the steps or signs I need to look for.

Also should I take the chance to drive back 124 miles to home.
