Guest audiosportconcepts
I hope I'm not alone, My Auto transmission has been wineing for a couple of days, It wasn't affecting the performance, until now. It would wine when it was cold and I start it up, then change to a different pitch wine when put in gear. But when it warmed up, it seemed to go away. This morning on my way home from work, It was fine, but then stopped at a store and left it running. When I jumped back in it I went into gear hard and when I proceeded up the hill it just wouldn't go, the motor was reving up, like the torque converter was slipping. But when it sits and cools back down it will drive fine again (but still wines).Any ideas? Oh yah, The transmission fluid is exactly full to were it should be.

Guest audiosportconcepts
Well I changed the filter, and I have to say that i don't want to have to do that again. You know how the y pipe is in the way, well i took out all the bolts and tipped it down just far enough to drain most of the oil and then took out the 4 bolts holding the filter on and put the new one in, IT'S NOT EASY GETTING YOUR HANDS IN THERE. I took out the magnet in the bottom, and you wouldn't believe the mtallic flake, so I looked at the filter and HOLY CRAP! I can see why the tranny was wineing. Anyways, it goes fine now, no wining no nothing Runs great. I 'm gonna put a drain plug in the bottom of the pan so future oil change will be alot easier.
