Changing Spark Plugs

Recommended Posts

Anyone know any tricks to changing the plugs without taking the plenum off?

I don't expect anyone here to know but I can always ask, not a whole lot of support for the R51 here. I've been trolling a frontier and xterra forum looking for some answers. There was one guy on the frontier forum who said he accomplished it with a wobble extension. Anyway I'll try to figure it out and if I do I'll post my results.

When my friend and I changed his sparkplugs in his 05 frontier, we just loosened the plenum and pulled it up as needed to gain access to the plugs. Bungy cords come in handy! The plenum uses reuseable o-rings to seal to the lower manifold.
