Better To Double Check

Recommended Posts

So I left a link that sums up my initial problem

http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=25552&st=0&p=469708&fromsearch=1entry469708

But I had my alternator tested the guy told me it was good. So I reinstall check everything on my truck to see why it's not running. I'm 99% sure it's the alternator, pull it out again. I bring it to a different shop and get it tested with my battery. The guy tells me "my alternator is shot and a blew a cell on my battery". So it's always good to get a second opinion or watch them test your alternator. Don't get side tracked with shiny auto parts.

Someone say shiney?

We see alot of people who leave the local Advance Auto Parts, or Pep Boys that don't trust their "techs" who just finished stockign the tire shine and skull shaped valve stem covers. Happy I'm fortunate enough to not have to deal with those places unless I chose to (hey everyone needs a new air freshner on occasion)

Nice to see that so many of us were right on the original diagnosis. Like I had mentioned too on your original thread, that was the same exact thing that was happening on my rig at the time and I came here even though i was pretty sure i knew what it was. This place is better then most garages most of the time since many on here have a lot of Mechanical knowledge to begin with and not only that but they live and breath Pathfinders so its always specific to your problem.

Glad we could help sort that out for you.
