DustyDevil Posted September 30, 2004 Share Posted September 30, 2004 it's usually called a neutral safety switch, auto's have it , so that you have to be in park or neutral to start, standards you have to have the clutch in to start...it's a safety thing, fairly inexpensive, and usually easy to replace (although i haven't had to do this on my pathy yet, i have on many other vehicles) there is an adjustment to this swith on the pathfinders, it's in all the manuals, if you don't have one, post back, and i can write in the procedures.
