findmypath
Hi all, I'm posting this in hopes that someone else had the same issue. Almost every year there comes a time when my belts are squeaking. The ironic thing is that I had them replaced last year and I'm guessing they should be fine. Visually, they are not cracked or anything so I'm not quite sure why they are creating this noise. The squeaking doesn't stop while driving and when the RPMs are higher...which is leading me to believe that I might need to look at the belt tensioner and see if that is bad instead of the belts. Has anyone else had this issue and found a good solution? I have a '03 Pathy LE. Thanks Edited February 28, 2010 by findmypath
5523Pathfinder
How is the tension on the belts? You may need to adjust them as they do tend to wear and stretch. How may miles have you put on them? Are you using quality belts? Some brands make more noise than others. Did you put them on or take it somewhere? If you took it somewhere, find out what kind of warranty they offer on thier work and parts. You mihgt be entitled to a free repair. Derek
