ChromoTech
my tranny is over filled with fluid could that be what is causing my problems??(slipping and overheating) Im trying to save alot of money by ruling out possible problems. And i also put in some tranny treatment which was kinda thick now im trying to get it out.(Lucas) is $1500 for a retran good it is a sports transmission with 5 (instead of 4) gears and 9 clutches (instead of 5) its from a good trany shop (PHXRETRAN)
94extreme
i'd prob. depend on how overfilled. a bit no, but a whole bunch maybe problematic. if $1500 includes the whole job, i'd say not bad. on other threads somewhere here, $1000 was mentioned for a regular auto. i think. it'll also depend on where in the country you reside... ChromoTech
Its about a inch and a half above the max line! while running hot. it gets so hot i can feel the heat through the floorboard. and it hates going on the highway too long. Cuong Nguyen
I don't see how overfilling could be problematic like that. When was the last time you flushed the transmission? Are you running a tranny cooler?
denisb
The only problem I've heard of by overfilling is weird shift and tranny chater when tork locks up.
