OfftourRoadie96
I was looking through the AC Billstein Shocks section since I've been buying my parts one at a time instead of buying the complete kit at once, I have figured out through fourums that the Rancho "RS999010XL" shock fits my 96 Pathfinder but Rancho does not acknowlede that this is the correct strut for my vehicle, which I find strange. Just exploring my options since some people are going the Billstein Route. AC Does Not have a listing for a Rear Billstein Shock WITH 2" Lift....I only see a listing for Billsteins WITHOUT a lift. Anyone know the Series and model number if I decide to go the Billstein route???
laxman0324
The Bilstein will still work it will just limit your flex. The Rancho will give you more flex. Rancho does not recognize the item because it is designed for the lifted Durango, they never designed it for the Pathfinder. I had that model on my 97 and will be putting them on my 01. They fit perfectly, and I loved the ride. People who have Bilsteins love them as well. I am sure the KYB's are excellent as well, it is more up to you, but I don't think any of the others give the same flex as the Ranchos...
