post lift question...

My only real question is that my front end just will not stay in alignment...the struts I got from Max have the top hole on the lower strut mount drilled out so the camber would not be an issue, but even with the nuts torqued down to spec (111-122 ft-lbs) it keeps popping out. It does it when I am making a turn in a parking lot that puts a lot of force on that wheel, and I can hear a loud pop and sure enough the alignment is out again. Now I did purchase the firestone lifetime alignment but after the third time in a month the service advisor asked why i was there so often.

My only line of thinking is that the top hole should not have been drilled out, but I know I have seen someone say that somewhere on here...any ideas?

Top hole drilled out is correct...the bottom is more or less for severe cases...yours should have been fine with just the top.

Did you buy camber bolts? These bolts are designed to set an hold camber, where as the regular bolts are subject to this type of movement.

My alignment shop actually did drill out my spindle bottom bolts but not the strut itself. I have camber bolts in the top and the OEM bolts in the bottom...and as SammyB and I figued out once the alignment is done I just marked the direction that the camber bolts were facing and snug them down then pull the bottomas far towards me as they were drilled and boom (Madden is back in action soon!), all is straight again!

Thats what I didn't do...time to order some camber bolts...did you install them or did you have the shop put them in? They could get mine into alignment with just the tops drilled out but it continued to pop out, so that makes sense to me.
