lug bolt question

Make a long story short, previous owner did something to one of the lugbolts on my left rear tire, and when I went to remove it it is partially stripped and the only threaded part is so messed up I cannot start a new lug nut on it. What would I need to do to replace the lug bolt, and how hard is this going to be?

Thanks,

Mike

Ok well i answered my own question...you can pull the brake cover (i dont know what the term is called) right off with a little pry from a flat head, then hit the bolt with a little MAPP gas, and hammer it and it pops right out...i have the new bolt in the freezer now so it will be easier to slide in.

A little WD40 will help it go back in and make sure you clean out the inside threads that grip the bolt. Might need to tap it with a hammer to seat it.

Leaving it in the freezer for a couple hours did the trick. I got a locking lug nut set and just tossed the nut that stripped it...thanks though
