Smithk
Hello, I've tried to search the forums for this but can't find anything really since so many "power buttons/modes" results. Anyways my problem is that my Power Mode Switch doesn't turn on the Power mode for the A/T. In fact it doesn't even turn on the light when I turn off and then retry the truck after sitting for a min. Never had this problem until today, we figure it might be loose wiring so if you have any ideas please feel free to lend a hand and I'll try to get it up and running for Monday. denisb
Did you check fuses? If not it could be a bad Tranny ECU.
88pathoffroad
Could just be that the switch is shot. Does it still come on when you floor the gas pedal?
Smithk
I checked my fuses and none appear blown. It also doesn't appear when I floor it also.
88pathoffroad
But does it shift the same at all times? Perhaps the bulb is popped but it still works?
Smithk
Alrighty after a day of playing with I think I might of fixed it. I checked all fuses, bulbs, and connection points with out opening up the entire truck (just mainly in the dash) and then re-connected the battery and it now turns on and off. I'm a bit skeptical on what I actually did to fix it so who knows and I will be watching it closely the next week or so. Edit: Just ran a self-diagnostics test on it and I got 10 flashes which means it is perfect and A-okay. Edited July 30, 2007 by Smithk
denisb
Gremlins! I hate those! It's possible just the tranny ECU reset got rid of the glitch. Better than having to buy a new ECU.
