wheel366
I now have another issue. When I turn my steering wheel, it squeeks. It sounds like an old rusty door opening up slowly. Like soemthing out of a horror movie. This happened once last week and stopped but came back yesterday. Any ideas? Could it have something to do with the L&P steering kit I had installed? It sounds awfull Edited March 26, 2007 by wheel366
Kn0xville
did you grease the IA bushings good? Did it start as soon as the LP system went in? if so, it could just be that it needs to break itself in. Id just get under there and grease everything really good., start spraying some WD40. wheel366
It started last week. I've had the system installed about 2 months. I think it is the idler arm. We oiled it today and it seems to be better. Just have to wait for the oil to fully soak in.
Kn0xville
if its in the IA, oiling it isnt gonna fix it. You HAVE to pull it apart and grease the bushings.
88pathoffroad
Like I've said so many times before: have someone else rock the steering wheel back and forth for you while you inspect the steering parts so you can ID the cause as closely as possible.
