Well actually Im not really the one whining, but my baby is. Shes a 00' LE 4x4 and for some reason there is a whining from the front end when I push the gas going about 45-65ish and from about 75-90. It gets a little louder the faster I go but not too bad. :help:

 

The thing that pisses me off is I just bought her a little more than a month ago and of course this happens a little more than a week after the warrenty expires. Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

 

Oh, one more quick question; Are any of the performance parts that are available for the older 3.3l Xterras compatible with the R50 Pathys? Im going to be doing some towing soon and Im a little worried that my Pathy wont have enough power to tow my mustang behind her.

Well, I think the best advice here is to get underneath it and do some inspecting. A whining noise could come from just about anywhere. My first guess is brakes. Either peek through the wheels and look at your brake pads, or remove the wheel and do the same. If the noise only happens when you are moving, then its a rotating issue. Try to be a little more specific with where the noise is coming from. I know it can be tough, but it helps us help you!

 

As for performance, well, there are a few intake options. Exhaust, you are on your own, no bolt ons. You can always get a recalibrated computer. Do some searching in the R50 thread. You should be fine pulling a mustang. Heck, I saw a R50 the other day pulling a lifted Wrangler! Oh, and a regular tune up may be in order.

Its definately not the brakes, it only happens when Im pushing the gas pedal at the speeds that I mentioned in my last post. As soon as I let off the gas it stops the whining. And since it starts making the sound when Im going about 45mph I dont really have anyway to look underneath while she is stationary.....
