XEcaribe Posted March 15, 2007 Share Posted March 15, 2007 hello, i am trying to install a kenwood cd player in my 95 XE i bought a wiring harness from install.com and it fits fine but there are three wires that do not just "plug in" these wires are ILLUMINATION, CHASSIS GROUND and POSITIVE DIMMER. i am new to car audio, where do i connect these three wires? thanks alot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DryBear Posted March 15, 2007 Share Posted March 15, 2007 Your radio may not actually use the illumination and positive dimmer wires. For the chassis ground, attach it to a metal surface on your car, usually by one of the screws that hold the radio in place. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had my dimmer wire attatched, but I cant remember where.....you don't need it. It's dimming the display. I'll try to look tomorrow if noone hooks you up with an answer. Oh yeah, DON'T LET THESE WIRES TOUCH!!!! they will short out all of your dash and tail lights....if it happens, just replace the tail light fuse Edited March 15, 2007 by govols74n Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
