arctic_mark
Does anyone know of good trails near Drayton Valley that would make for a nice winter run as well as a Christmas Tree harvesting trip? Bunch of us from NA4WDA heading out that way, probably Dec 9th. Anywhere in the eastern slope between Drayton Valley, Rocky Mountain House, Hinton and the Jasper-Banff park boundary is covered by the SRD tree permit I got. But I don't want to go too far from Edmonton (2 hrs tops) to get to the trail head just for a day run . Any suggestions (grid refs, GPS co-ords, maps?) more than welcome Thanks Mark Edited December 1, 2006 by arctic_mark
arctic_mark
NA4WDA's got a club trip to west of Drayton Valley planned now for this Saturday (9th Dec) to go play in the snow and get a few Xmas Trees. If any Pathy owners are interested in coming along and seeing what the club is like give me a PM for details etc. And don't worry about being too stock, the Pathfinder is a capable beast even without any mods (can show a Jeep a thing or two!). Just make sure you got good recovery points and a good tow strap. Mark
