Pezzy Posted October 4, 2006 Share Posted October 4, 2006 Service Advisor gave me this info: for the front diff, we use Penzoil Gearplus GL-5 for limited slip diffs, 80W90 weight. You can use this in the front diff as well, or just use regular 80W90 gear oil. Rear takes 2.5 litres and the front takes about 2 litres or less. mmm... not sure if that is different if you dont have LSD. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
vengeful Posted October 4, 2006 Share Posted October 4, 2006 A non-LSD Diff will be fine with gear oil with LSD Additive in it. Actually, most differential oils you find on the shelf have the LSD Additive anyways. You absolutely want to use GL-5 in the diffs, but NEVER in a Nissan Manual Transmission, it'll eat all of the brass fittings and seals faster than you can say, "Oh damn, I f***ed up!"
