tmorgan4
There are several different upgraded spring options for the rear. If you look on 4x4parts.com under suspension, there are 2" lift springs although they will give you closer to 3". Why are you only wanting to lift the rear? Exactly what you are looking for. Stiffer spring rate, so they won't jack the back end up higher by much, but they won't compress as much as stock under load. mws
http://www.airliftcompany.com/new-index/Frameset.htm Model 60742. I love mine. Add air when you need more load capacity, let it out when you don't. Why compromise?

mws
I think you'll like the Air-Lifts - they are the perfect solution for adding occaisional extra load capacity without compromising ride quality when unloaded. You can load in 1000 lbs of stuff, squirt in 30 psi of air, and she rides perfectly level. It's like adding additional springs on demand. For lifting the front, I believe spacers are your only option.
Guest rexer@khainata.com
mws: Tell me...using the Air lift, do you lift the car??? i mean, already can you see your pathy more high? Rexer
mws
If I air up the bags with no load, the truck lifts maybe an inch - but then it rides very harsh - like a 1 ton truck. Which is not surprising, as you now have springs with another 1000 pounds of capacity. The only time I add air is when I'm towing or carrying a heavy load. I leave them at 3 psi when truck is empty to retain a softer ride. They are NOT a good way to just lift a truck more than a half inch or so. They are a way to make existing springs stiffer and to return the truck back to a normal ride height when a heavy load is added. If you just want to raise the truck, you want spacers. And if you want it higher all the time AND be able to haul a heavier load without squatting, add spacers AND the air bags.
