kevs03pathy
Trying to decide wether to put locking hubs on my 03 pathfinder. I have heard good and bad about puting it on the on the fly 4x4 system. Does anyone have good or bad issues?
MichiganAve
Is this an auto-mode 4wd? I don't think anyone is certain: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10318 There was actually a bit more discussion on a similar thread on the AC board. kevs03pathy
Yes it is. I have been watching your thread to see if anyone has a good answer. Have you tried to get any answers from the manufacturers or the vendors that sell them for our vehicles? I may just put mine on and see if I get the light and then we'll know if maybe it is just you vehicle.
MichiganAve
AC had said it would be okay, just don't use auto or 4wd with the hubs unlocked. Other people have gotten this message and seemed to be okay, but they didn't get it this consistently. I get it every time I drive the car for 10+ miles with the hubs unlocked. Several people with QX4s with manual hubs got no error messages like this, but they were newer models years so perhaps that is the difference? No good answer here honestly... kevs03pathy
I'm going to put mine on and see what happens. Hope you get something figured out with yours.
