4runners are hard to find...a buddy got a 85 with only 110k and new tires(junk tires) for 1100bucks but it has a ton of sufface rust and I dont plan on driving 250 miles to get a truck.4runners are all 93 plus,rotten and want 2500+ for them since there Toyota(they must last for ever since all of them seem to have 200k+ on them)
there is a 88 with two engine available for sale over here for 2000 grand. If u want it, your gonna have to drive to pennsylvania.

I think it's ugly as hell. At least they're putting an engine somewhat worthwhile in there being it's a Subaru. I still can't figure out why they aren't going to turbocharge it though.
Man, what does it take for You toyota haters to like their design? they are trying to make it affordable. It has a short wheelbase and overall a small car about the size of a tiburon or solstice except it has backseat so i thik they might go for the small 2.0 boxer. 160-200 hp range imo.

Hate every car Toyota has to offer. Same with Lexus.
Toyota just released their first exciting vehicle in years. The Ft 86 concept which is what they will be basing there subaru toyo joint sports car on. It should look 90% like it. It will boast a subarus boxer engine, no words on which one it will be, hopefully the 2.5 turbo. Subaru will have there own versions using the same platform but will share the same powertrain. Pricing is expected to be in or around the 20k mark.
Also, toyota wil be debuting there 6 figure super car called the Lexus Lf-A at the tokyo motor show which will boast a 4.8 or 5.0 v10 derived from their f1 technology and will churn out clost to 550 hp and rev to 9000 rpm. they are supposedly only making 500 units but the car was entered i the nurbriging 24 hour race and did fairly well. It has a top speed of 218 mph which puts it right there in hyper exotic super car territory.
Close production versions with minimal camouflage have already been seen tested at the nurb numerous times.

Were you there ? Could it be possible the floormats fouled up the pedals enough that he couldn't shift ? Could it be he was not familiar with the car ?

Incidentally, I think the problem's more serious than just a floormat. I replaced the factory carpet floormats with factory rubber floormats, as I do on all my vehicles. The new floormats are actually a bit SHORTER in my Tacoma. But try driving the truck with dress shoes on. The geometry of the pedals is such that you will often literally get feet tangled and/or stuck. That's when I have a 10-11 (depending on the manufacturer). I expect it would be much more difficult for people with larger feet. I only drive it now with sandals or sneakers. I think it may be the floor and dash geometry. Now THAT would suck.
If the floormat was truly the reason why the accelerator was to the floor and not because of Electronics gimmicks, then that does not prevent u from shifting into neutral. Again, something could have been done before the car reached excess speeds of over 120 mph. The ES350 isnt a sports car. IT doesnt just hammer up to 120 that fast that u cant react fast enough to do something.

It was the drivers fault. he could have done something about it and saved his family. Could have shifted the damn car into neautral and slowed it to a stop before reaching excess speeds of 120 mph. Now, toyota is gonna face major future lawsuits and everybody that did have some kind of acccident wtiht here toyota of those years that are "affected" will blame the accident on the floormats and all hell will let loose.

I will be home in september and my in law has a 4 runner , will convince him for a joint trip R50 and 4 runner , i have driven the 4 runner and it is manual with much higher torque than my R50 maybe i have to take him to places to my advantage
not only that, He has about a inch or two of ground clearance on you from the lowest point, has bigger tires stock (assuming that your pathy is pretty stock) and the 4 low is a lot more crawlier than the r50's and he probably has a rear diff lock if its limited or sr5 sport which my 4runner had from the factory. though the only bad thing about the 4runner imo was the long rear bumper. Seemed to always catch a few things. Man i miss my 4runner. RIP.

the VQ is an amazingly awesome engine. I love it mroe than my x 4runners 3.4 liter engine. luckily i have a manual so i dont have to worry about the flaring or power vavles BS.
lets quit the fighting and just all agree that the Toyota 4runner, no matter wut year would woop on any Pathfinder, antyime anywhere.

i have 245 75 16 on my path and it never rubs except for when i make a left in reverse. It rubs slightly then.

one full experienced? well let me tell u my friend, i owned 2 compaqs presarios, and 1 compaq laptopn...PIECE OF &^%*ing @!*%, All of them couldnt hold memory well and just didnt last for my needs. So many problems to name. And i have had 2 hp's pavilion notebookes. this one is a replacement for the Other hp that failed in less than a week so i guess technically that would be Three HPs. The last one failed within a week, because it decided it just didnt want to start.
YEAH. that is enough to draw me away from the brand buddy.
my parents Ibm's and lenovos never failed them. We have an old ibm desktop machine that is almost 8 years old and still working well.
this is exccelent suggestions, STay away from compaq and hp.

i f your on a budget go ahead and buy the stupid hp, don't forget to get the protection plan. That is the only reason why i bought it. In less than a year, i have had diskdrive issues. hard drive issues, monitor issues where things just sorta freez onto the screen and dont go away. My lightscribe junk doest work anymore and my battery doesnt last for more than 30 minutes. Also The charge adapter broke on me and also that hole u stick the charger in is effed up and i had to rig it for it to charged. that stupid touch pad thing on the top of the keyboard sometimes freezes the taskbar and crashes or sometimes it just doesnt work. this is my second hp and my last! I know many people that will tell u the exact same thing.

Hp and compaq should be off your list imeediately. they are the most worthless piece of @!*% ever made in the history of computers. the best computer out there is made from IBM which it is called lenovo. Easily the most solid computer money can buy and u can get yourself a nice thinkpad or idea pad for about 700 bucks nicely loaded with everything she would ever need.

Again, stay away from hp and compaq. i have one and typing with one right now and it is a total piece of junk! my dad has a lenovo and always have and its been exccelent for him. He would know, he works at IBM.

well...If ya'll like the auto world and like to talk about the auto world. Their is another great forum besides this Pathfinder forum which also great. The forum is called "CAR" for Car Addict Realm, and we have many intelligent discussion about the auto world and issues dealing with the auto world, and of course we have our daily comparisons where domestic and imports fans go at it. Great forum and very friendly people. We also have a very fun relaxing off topic threads where you of course can talk about anything.
