  1. No i am not going to get a bolt on tip lol. I know a guy that will weld my muffler for $30-50 seeing as i don't own a welder. I tried to post some pictures of the undercarriage, but the upload button wont let me. Starting from the front i have a dual in square box to a single out, then i have a oval shape long single in/out that connects to my exhaust tip. I believe the last piece is my resonator, not a muffler. This might explain the spraying out the back. If that is the case after reading these posts, and many others i think i will just remove the resonator all together. Do R50 pathfinders have a dual in to single out exhaust stock?
  2. Johnson Valley would be sick. I looked at the event and it is 6.5 hours away from me. i dont think i will have the money to go (trying to save money for winter ), but it sounds awesome. Yeah sac. town is a little far, for Hollister. As it turns out, i called in sick to work to day because i got too amped last night about Hollister. Lol. Will post pics when i get back tonight. Slick- I am down for Frank Raines up near Turlock correct? What days are good for you so i can work something out with my jobs?
  3. Welcome!!!! You have joined the right place for your 4x4 Pathfinder!
  4. Trying to get some people together to go to Hollister. I have never been. I am new to off-roading and want to find out what my pathy can do. Lol. As most of my 4x4 is in the snow. Most Fridays and Saturdays work for me with a week or two of notice. Let me know what date or dates work for you.
  5. Last winter in Tahoe i had what i thought was my muffler rust off. I then went to a shop were a guy welded one he had laying around for $100. It now sounds horrible and i am considering buying the flowmaster 44. It sounds as if the air is spraying out the back right now. Is the resonator and the muffler the same thing? The flowmaster 44 has a 2.25 flange, what size tip should i buy, (2.50)? Is there anything else i may be forgetting?
  6. Are the rear tie down hooks easy to remove? It says i will have to remove them when installing my hidden hitch. Are these those two big metal hooks at the rear right and left side? If so they seem solid, any suggestions on how to remove them? Never Mind found out it was just 3 bolts on each side.
  7. Yeah that is exactly what i am looking for. I want it to sit pretty clean. My back bumper is a little messed up so i don't expect it to be flush.
  8. Ya, i found a hidden hitch online today for $150 shipped. I will also go to uhaul to price out one of theirs. etrailer.com - will have a look.
  9. Awesome thank you, U-haul hu thats a great idea. Will look into the hidden hitch.
  10. Does anyone have any recommendations on tow hitches for a 1997 Pathfinder?
  11. Yay for all the help. As it turns out i believe it is a balancing problem. The guys at firestone in Salinas don't seem too professional. It is a small constant vibration only from the front left tire. Will be checked by Nissan of seaside on Friday. It is hard to feel at lower speeds, but on the freeway it is more apparent.
  12. Also does the left side of the 97 pathfinder take a smaller axle then the right? I think they call it a half axle. Would this be the difference that i am feeling?
  13. Alright so i wanted to start going down the list for my 97 pathfinder and started with 15x7 Pro Comp wheels, 31" AT Revo's, and also had a torn CV boot so i got the front left axle replaced as well. Besides the alignment still being off, the front left wheel/tire area doesn't feel as solid as it use to or compared to the right tire side. It feels as if it might roll over on its self. Half the time i am sure there is a little more vibration on that side for some reason as well. I had the whole system looked at by the same guys a 2nd time and they said it all looked good. I am not sure if this is over thinking, but something is not quite right. All help much appreciated.
  14. Thanks. This place is awesome. Helping allot with decisions that are needing to be made.
  15. What up! Its great to see Pathfinder owners unite. I have been a long time fan of the pathfinder seeing it has been the only truck i have ever owned. It took me through crazy good times. My old pathy was a 97 stock, blue with no mods and not 4x4. Had that one from 40,000 to 155,000 no major issues. I have had it in 3 feet of snow on Donner Pass near sugar bowl with chains. Let me tell you this was a scary experience. Tahoe is where i do most of my 4x4 travel. I have worked at sugar bowl the last 3 years. Last winter i got fed up with the chains and bought a 4x4 the same color and year pathfinder with 88,000 miles. Now that i can start my mods i decided to start with 31" AT Revo's and Pro Comp wheels black. So far that is all i have done. I plan to add the old man emu coils and warn manual hubs next. Hopefully i can afford under armor as well.
  16. Has anyone ever heard of old man emu suspension lifts? I am looking to put a new coil on to add a few inches on my 97 pathfinder 4x4. The website bellow sells them and it says would add 1.75". Let me know what you think. There are also components to this kit that i am not sure about. Do you think the coils will be enough for the lift alone? Should i get the heavy duty springs or the medium ones? All help much appreciated. http://www.rocky-road.com/pathfindersus.html
