My 03 Pathy has 118,000 miles on it. I've been using the high mileage oil for quite some time now and I was wondering if it is too late to switch to full synthetic oil. I use Mobil 1 in my other vechicle but I started using it on the first oil change when it was new. I bought this Pathfinder used a couple years ago. I DID try the search function but just couldn't find a good answer.

I've heard many times that I'll have brake problems if I go with 32 inch tires. Supposed to stay within 3% of stock size. I'm wanting to lift my 03 this fall and go with what alot of people do on here. 2" AC lift and all that good stuff with 32 inch tires. So....how bout it people with this setup (or larger). Any brake problems out there???

Yes....I've replaced the brakes and rotors, wheel bearings, it has new tires (which I've had the balance re-checked) and still shimmying between 65-75 mph although it doesn't do it all the time, just most of the time. I don't think it's the rotors because it's not bad when i press on the brakes.

Hey all....tried searching and looked at the pinned topics to no avail. I read here often but don't post much. I need to know the torque specs for the ball joints on my 2003 Pathfinder. Getting ready to replace them. Stock rig with 117,000 miles on it and shimmying. Jacked her up and checked them and they need replaced. Thanks in advance......

We bought our 03 SE used and it had 255s on it, plenty of clearance with no lift...I'm getting ready to put new shocks/struts/tires on it next month and I'm going to 265s. Looks like they'll clear fine. Hope this helps......

Thanks....I've got a bottle sitting on the shelf. I'll give her a try. Don't know if you saw my reply earlier but mine's okay cold but it stalls on startup when it's warm. I have to tap the gas when it slows down to around 400rpm because it won't idle back up. I'm guessing it's along the same line of problem. Again...thanks for the info.

How do I Seafoam the intake? Do I just put it in the gas tank or does it get more invlolved than that? Thanks

Check your brake rotors, too. They could be warped badly and causing some vibration.

My 03 kinda does the opposite. No problem on cold start but stalls on a warm start. Have to tap the gas right b4 it drops to around 400rpm so it will idle back up. It also has a sqealing noise when it's cold until it warms up. Any ideas anyone??? Thanks, Psycho
