  1. Well my biggest problem is the bumpsteer. It seems worse now that I have the L&P kit installed where as the Calmini kit addresses this issue directly. Calmini didn't just beef up the centerlink, they redesigned it to work with lifts and fix the angles that the tierods are at.

  2. Well, I started my pathy this morning and it didn't sound good but it did start. When I was going to lunch, it would not start at all. So, my boss gave me a jump and I went to Autozone to get a new Redtop. I got the 34/78. Pretty damn expensive though. I hope that is the only problem.

On a side note, after I got my heater core replaced I noticed a crack in my windshield right where they ripped my inspection sticker. They said it was there before. I notice everything and it's not hidden but I can't argue since there is no way to prove it. So, now I must get a new windshield too.

  3. I now have another issue. When I turn my steering wheel, it squeeks. It sounds like an old rusty door opening up slowly. Like soemthing out of a horror movie. This happened once last week and stopped but came back yesterday. Any ideas? Could it have something to do with the L&P steering kit I had installed? It sounds awfull

  4. That is crap, I don't care what's goin on with his personal life, if you run a business you need to take care of people that have paid you for your product. If you can't produce, give a refund, it still sucks, but at least nobody's out any cash.

BTW, Calmini has a fine product that was on my doorstep 3 days after the order.

I am out $190. Not to happy about that. Man, you are lucky with Calmini. I ordered my steering kit in February of 06 and canceled in November of 06 because I still didn't have it. I should have just waited.

  5. Paypal said something about a lawsuit when I spoke to them. For a guyw ho is just trying to make an honest living, he sure isn't being to dependable and trust worthy. I better get my core refund soon.

  6. Synthetic does not cause leaks. Now with that said, I heard from a friend who races older camaro's and vette's that becase the engine is older, the clearances are larger and you should run something thicker. My engine is a factory reman which only has about 12.5k miles on it. I ran dino for the first 1200 miles then switched to 5W-30 amsoil. I still use the same oil but I have a dual mount filter relocation kit with a bypass filter. Oh and I change every 5k even though it says I can go up to 25k miles on the oil and filter and 60k on the bypass filter. I won't take that chance.

  7. So, I've had this coolant leak intermittently. It happened for two days then nothing for 2 months. You could smeel it and see that it was leaking but couldn't tell from where. I started happening again two weeks ago. The leak is slow enought that I only have to add a little to the tank every week. We found the leak. It is coming from the heater core hose. So, they re-tightened the clamps and it stopped temporarily but started again one it got warm.

it turns out that the heater core is leaking inside and outside the firewall. They say it's a 7 hour job. I must have over 16k invested in this truck. DAMN!

    I need a drink!

  8. Every since installing my L&P Steering package (I got the whole stage 3 kit) I have to fight to keep it straight. Turning isn't a problem for the most part. It's when I an going straight and it decides to go this way and that way. Plus, when I hit bumps, it jumps left then right. I'm looking into what other parts may need to be replaced like bushing and maybe lower ball joints. I'm told that my TRE's are fine.

  9. Well, I changed my mind. I am probably going with Redline MT-90 again. From looking at the specs, it flows at colder temps than amsoil and has a higher flash point too. Plus, I already have redline in there, so when I drain and fill it would be with the exact same stuff. I think I am going to do this either next saturday or the saturday after.

  10. I have 196K miles on mine and I supposedly had my fluid changed at 184k with redline MT-90. Now, I'm not really sure it was done or not. But last winter I was fine. THis winter with it being so cold it feels like I am shifting through drying cement. Also, I always grind 1st to 2nd if I don't double clutch it. Oh, and the clutch is soooooo stiff in this weather. In the next couple of weeks I am going to change it again, most likely with Amsoil 75W-90 and see if there is anything in there that shouldn't be.

  11. I had my fluid changed to the redline MT90 two years ago. Last winter it was fine, this winter it's like shifting through mud. I didn't have ti flushed, just drained and filled. I may have it done again after the winter. I have a weird problem. If I shift from 1st to 2nd, it gets hung up. If I shift from first to neutral then to 2nd, it's ok. Also, when it's cold and I'm shifting to 2nd, it always grings no matter how far I press the clutch. 3rd gear is a little better. I don't have a problem with 4th or 5th.

  12. Does anybody know if they make urethane motor mounts and transmission mounts? If so, where can I get them? I have this sound when I idle and sometimes while I drive that sounds like something is vibrating against something else. When I drive, it's more when I'm slowing down and have lower RPM's. Anybody else have this problem? I thought maybe the exhaust or headers are hitting something but I can't see anything when I am under the truck.
