  1. only real hard blockades to get past in NZ are forestry gates. Those are virtually impenetrable. The land is all fenced off and if your into busting down gates or cutting locks, the locks they use i hear are like super locks.

  2. Stock standard wd21 no lift

First upgrade i wanna do is mud tyres and i have no idea what to look for, im told it will probably run 31's

Someone please enlighten me and explain to me what i'm looking for in tyres, quite new to the 4wd scene.

  3. I've never owned a rotary, and don't plan on it but i agree from what i have heard those are teh 3 biggest problems.. i also agree on the 100000km engine thing, from factory a recommendation is an engine rebuild every 50000kms :O

  4. Heh cool, Go TPNZ :D lol we can be liek team pathfinders nz or something lol :) Man i need some mud tyres, and some decent 4x4 tracks lol isn't much around here. Tuhoe have alot of the land blocked off. Remember the terrorist raid etc on the news? yeah coz of that lol.

  5. Yeah i guess its a good concept, the apex seals i know are a huge problem from what i have gathered. I will give the concept grace for the power to weight ratio on the engines. I mean put it this way. i know a guy that reckons he put his 12a in b1000 ute and he got two mates to hold it up while he bolted it in. Good luck doing that with a 1000 4cyl let alone a 400cube v8 lol.

The noise just irritates the @!*% out of me ae. Its so hard to look past such an irritating noise. I mean @!*% who does that.

  6. What is everyones perspective on the mazda rotary engine, namely 12a, 13b with porting to make them go brap brap brap brap.

Me personally: I HATE THEM WITH A ROYAL PASSION!!!!!!!

  7. I have a 1991 Terrano r3m Turbo and yes i have that knob in the exact same place and yes it is an idle speed controller from what i gather. I know if you have a diesel engine and you are operating hydraulic equipment or something you need to increase the idle speed with the control in question. So the engine doesn't stall out. Maybe for using winches or something i'm not too sure to be honest.
