  1. Your method worked well, my ball joints have been replaced now. Thank you so much.
  2. Obviously Im mechanically inclined to an extent. Im noticing the entire spindle assembly needs to be removed, ugh. My main concern is the internals of the hub, how is the cv locked in the spindle? I need to pull it out so I can pull out the ball joint, as it is hitting the shaft and doesnt have the clearence! After I remove the 6 nuts from the outside of the hub and pop off the dust cover, I then removed the snap ring, do I need to do anything further? Do I remove the two screws and plate, then the weird 12 hole nut or will the shaft slide out without that stuff removed?
  3. 2003 R50, auto-locking hubs, I need to replace the ball joints on it ASAP. I am un familiar with the process, HELP. Please give me a step by step procedure starting after the vehicle is secure on jack stands and the wheel is off.
  4. So Im under my pathy tightening the always noisy belts (they are factory replacements too) and I noticed what appears to be a small oil leak from a strange pump behind the altenator. Its a very small leak but I have traced it to this pump to be the culprit. I am mechanically inclined and I need to know what this is, and if its a cheap fix. The pump has two lines coming out of it and it is not driven off the belt system. Its tucked neatly onto the engine block behind the altenator. Help.
  5. I have a 2003 R50, 3.5l, I recently noticed my ebrake does not hold well anymore. I pulled the drums and the brakes are great. How the heck do you adjust the ebrake cable?
  6. PATHY IS HEALED. MY NISSAN DEALER HONORED EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN WORK AS THEY SHOULD. TURN OUT THE PROBLEM WAS THE CANISTER BACK BY THE GAS TANK AND THE VALVE NEAR IT AS WELL. LIGHT IS OUT. WIERD THING, THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND CODE P0011?? MY IMAGINATION? GOT TO THINKING AND THIS CODE CAN BE SET BY WAL MART FOR EXAPLE CHANGING OIL AND STARTING IT WITHOUT ENOUGH OIL IN ENGINE BEFORE THEY TOP IT OFF, NOT GOOD, BUT THE LIKELY PROBLEM WHEN A DUMB DUMB DOES YOUR OIL CHANGE. CODE SET BUT ALL WAS GOOD ONCE TOPPED OFF AND DROVE DOWN THE RODE BEFORE I GOT TO DEALER I GUESS. NO MIL ON NOW, SO I HAPPY. STILL LOVE MY R50 MODEL.

My pathfinder thankfully has an extended service contract, i've made an appointment with the dealer to have looked at, what should i look for so they dont ignore the problem and it gets fixed right. I trust my dealer but, i worry that when thing cost lots, they might cheap out or quick fix until service contract lapses then say SOL . My pathy has seemed to have oil consumption issued, over the course of 5000 miles in between oil changes its not un common for me to have to top off an entire quart into the engine nearing towards the end of the oils life. I use castrol semi-synthetic 10W30 truck has about 60,000 on it.
  8. What is this code, pathy spit it out today? Tranny or something temporarily acted funny too. It had power while excellerating then boom, all of a sudden no power, idle was perfect, seemed to rev perfect but no power even on the floor. I shut off pathy and re-started, it came out of it, what the heck?
  9. so ive reset the ecu, and re-tightened gascap. light comes back on after about 20 miles. same code. P1456 now what?
  10. THE EASIEST AND MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO APPLY SEA FOAM IS THROUGH THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM. THE BIG LINE WITH THE VALVE ON IT. PULL IT OUT WITH THE VEHICLE RUNNING, POUR THE SEA FOAM INTO THE LINE, IT WILL SUCK IT DOWN FROM SUCTION, POUR SLOWLY, ALMOST UNTIL THE VEHICLE STALLS BUT NOT THAT MUCH JUST UNTIL THE IDLE STARTS GETTING ROUGH. USE A WHOLE CAN, YES THE ENTIRE CAN BECAUSE ITS A V-6. AFTER THE ENTIRE CAN IS IN SHUT OFF THE MOTOR. WAIT ABOUT 30MIN. START, IT WILL HARD START AND WILL SMOKE ALOT, LIKE A HEADGASKET JUST BLEW, DONT WORRY, YOUR FINE. NOW TAKE IT FOR A BRISK RIDE TO BURN IT ALL OFF. YOUR DONE. WHEN YOU GET HOME DROP ANOTHER HALF CAN INTO GAS TANK, THE REMAINDER HALF INTO OIL THROUGH FILL HOLE. RUN NORMAL. THIS WONT BREAK YOUR OIL DOWN, IT ONLY INCREASES DETERGENTS TO CLEAN ENGINE. CHANGE AS REQUIRED WHEN YOUR DUE. 3000 MILES OR WHATEVER YOUR SCHEDULE IS. IF YOUR ENGINE IS REAL BAD, NEGLECTED, DONT ADD ANY MORE TO VACUUM LINE, BUT FEEL FREE TO ADD CAN TO GAS EVERY WEEK FOR A MONTH. IT WILL CLEAN THE ENGINE OVER THAT PERIOD OF TIME JUST FINE. I USE TO RUN MY OWN SHOP, I HAD MY MECHANIC AND SERVICE MANAGER BOTH ADVISE ME OF THIS PROCEDURE, 100% SAFE, JUST REMEMBER NOT TO ADD SEA FOAM SO QUICKLY IT STALLS THE ENGINE OUT! GOOD LUCK, IM SURE YOUR 3.3L WILL LOVE IT. IVE PERSONALLY USE IT ON MY 3.5L AND IT IS GREAT.
  11. my r50 model is running awesome, except the "service engine" came on. I did onboard diagnos' this code came up: P1456 whats this mean?
