  1. I flush the tranny last Friday using regular AMSOIL synthetic ATF, didn't replace the pan gasket as it still looks pretty good, it seems seal very well so far. I followed the Amsoil recommended flush process, it works well. The only problem is the ATF filling flow(through dipstick tube) is slower than draining flow, I have to stop the engine once to let the tranny getting enough ATF in it. The tranny filter was not changed as it's not recommended by Nissan dealer, it looks very clean though.
  2. There are two hoses connected between the tranny and the cooler, one on the driver side, the other one on front passenger side. Do you know which one should I disconnect for ATF flush? I guess should be the outlet hose from the tranny to the cooler, but don't know which is. Please help, I gonna flush the tranny this weekend. Thanks.
  3. Don't remember from where, but I heard that the tranny filter no need to be replaced for the Pathy R50. Is that right? The manual doesn't say anything about replacing transmission filter, just require drain and refill the ATF.
  4. Looks pretty good! I'm also considering to buy a set of all terrain tire, BFG's All Terrain T/A is on top of my list so far. My stock tire is 255/65-R16, thinking of going with BFG's A/T 255/70-R16, but I'm not quite sure if it will fit well on my 99.5 Pathy. Any idea on the gas milsage drop if switch from regular All-season tires to All-Terrain? Thanks Dave
  5. Not sure about hubs type, but my Pathy has automatic tranny.
  6. I show them the manual and they have changed the T/C oil to DEXRON A/T fluid this morning with no charge . I did not brought enough Castrol Synthetic 75W90 with me yesterday, he suggested just add some traditional gear oil for the front diffential. I think it would be fine as most of the time the front differential gear will not be engaged at RWD mode, please correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. Hi, my truck is 99.5 Pathfinder, 4WD, 3.3L V6, VG33E. Today I changed the front/rear LSD oil and transfer fluid at a garage, the guy changed all fluid with the same oil - Castrol synthetic 75w90 gear oil(GL-5) and told me there is no problem(??). But the service manual says A/T oil is recommended for the transfer case, would it cause any potential transfer case damage if gear oil is used? He also changed the front differential fluid using half Castrol synthetic 75w90 gear oil and half conventional gear oil, would it be OK? I don't use 4WD mode a lot anyway, If it is OK, I would just leave the front LSD oil as is. Any advises would be appreciated.
