  1. I had them as OEM on two previous trucks and didn't have any complaints with them. On both vehicles they did well in all 4 seasons; though not particularily good in deep mud etc. they were good in the snow, trail running and quiet on the hiway / no issues with hydroplaning. Both had good tread life and I swapped them out both times after 50,000 miles for the Bridgestone AT Revo 2 and BFG AT KOs. IMO solid good all round tire for the $$.

Thanks but these have been out since March 2011, maybe your thinking an older model?

  2. I've heard stories...

The shifter port is the best fill point IMO but you have have to do what gets you through the night.

Ya I had it up on the lift doing the front axle and transfer case, I already drained the tranny and I lowered it down and said "what the heck", pulled one side off the lift and added the fluid.

  3. Can you put your hand on the distributor cap cover while its running and feel it? When the timing belt has stretched far enough, the belt can "slap" and transer the noise up the distributor. Has the belt been changed at all? A recording or video would help out a ton.

Ya I did the timing belt about 10,000 miles ago and had the sound previous and post timing belt replacement. Ill try to record a video of it when I start it in the morning on Saturday. Lets hope we can hear it over the ticking exhaust manifolds ;-)

  4. Nope, it is very metallic like a jingle. It increases in frequency and speed as I rev the engine but will disappear once the engine is warmed up. If I had to guess I would say some sort of valve inside the intake? It there something that prevents air flow when cold possibly that can get loose?

  5. I have had this rattling sound coming from the upper area of the engine for a couple years. It seems to happen when the vehicle is cold and goes away once warmed up. It is a metallic sound like a jingle. It sounds as if its inside the intake manifold. Is there a valve of some sort in the intake that changes position when warmed up that could be causing that metallic jingle when the vehicle is cold?

  6. I sure hope so, possible snow in the forecast for this weekend, and my rx-7 ain't gonna cut it! I'm gonna be pretty upset if it snows and I'm stuck at home, after buying new wheels and tires and chains.....

Maybe if you replace your 13B to a VG30 on your avatar, your Pathfinder will love you again. :)
