I just joined the crazy journey down this "path" also. It sounds like you are in for a complete fabrication and rebuild though. I would be tempted to drop an LS or a Hemi under the hood in your situation.

Another new guy. This is my first Pathfinder. It isn't pretty, and it needs a little work to be what I consider acceptable. The previous owner had a Plastidip addiction, so the first job is breaking out the pressure washer and blowing that garbage off. I'm not new to offroading or 4wd. I have had Z71s, a Ram, and multiple Jeeps. From what I have read, the Pathfinder can be just as capable as anything else. We shall see.
