  1. 99+ R50's had 16" rims stock....that's the ones for sure. There were no options for 16" rims on WD21's. Not sure on the 96-98 R50...as some may have had an option for 16" rims.

You can also go to Toyota if you can find them. They'll bolt right up. Also, 2000-2004 Xterra rims bolt on just fine as well. Lots of options out there.

    Thanks Simon.

  2. Try NOKIAN WR. I know that might be hard to find but I heard/read a lot of good things about them. I am going to buy a set.

I don't read a lot about tires, I use what I know works well for me, BUT, I've never heard of a tire that has numbers formed in the tread to let you know how much they have worn. Thats pretty cool. For the average Joe that doesn't know how to measure tread depth, I am sure that this is a valuable tool for them and helps them feel comfortable knowing how much is left.

  3. Thanks guys.

I actually have to admit that the only reason that I have to fix my Heap all the time is because of me wheeling the guts out of it.

I don't wheel it much anymore and it hasn't actually been to much of a problem for me.

Can't wait to dive into the whole pathfinder thing.

I had my YJ on 35's and loved it, can't wait to get going on the pathy.

  4. No worries. Just try to remember that you're now driving a Pathfinder. Some things are MUCH better. Some things (#6 sparkplug location, starter location, alternator location) might make you wish for a HEEP.

I can pull the front clip off of a YJ, yank the motor, install a new one and drive it out of the shop in 8hrs. Sounds like it'll take me that long to change the plugs lol.

  5. I have to agree with tmorgan4. A battery selector switch from a marine store will work great and only cost you $35 or less.

As far as "The Club" goes, it doesn't take long for someone to get one of them off.

I've always told my wife that locks and alarms only keep the honest thief out, if someone wants to get in.... they'll get in.

  6. Well, how did you make out?

The 95 that I just brought home is doing the exact same thing.

I was wondering if it was a bad/dirty connection under the hood.

Can anyone tell us where it connects to the engine/distributor?

    Sorry to hi-jack your thread.

    Chris

  7. When you mention that your brake lines seem taught, I assume that you mean at the master cyl? Like 88 said, you can pull the coils apart a bit.

When you do a suspension lift you don't have to worry about them at the master, but you do have to add extensions at all 4 wheels.

  8. Hey all, good looking site going on here.

I'm actually a Jeep guy, have been for about 5yrs and just picked up my first Pathy. I've been wanting one for a while and waited till our Cherokee was pretty much done until I got this 95 XE.

I love reading the FAQs. That's how I got most of my Jeep knowledge.

I love wrenching on heaps. There isn't alot that I havn't done to a Jeep so I guess now it's time to move on and learn somthing new.

Thanks for having me aboard and hope I can throw some useful input out there too.

    Chris
