  1. I have a 1996 Pathy and it is coming up with a P0141(O2 Sensor B1S2 Heater Problem)...I am assuming this means a bad oxy sensor front/right side...I looked it over and there is a heat shield partially covering it...Has anyone else had to change one of these?...Do you just bend the shield back or does it require removal? Will an oxygen sensor socket work with this?....Any instructions would help greatly...Thanks...Feel free to email at ardavis78@live.com

  2. My struts and shocks are shot, so I was looking into a lift. AC has a few different options and I've heard Rancho struts are the way to go over KYB. I work at an auto parts store and in the Rancho catalog, it says the struts offered by AC are for a stock susp. w/ no lift. I only go off road and play occasionally. Why can't I just buy stock Monroe struts for the front and longer travel Ranchos for the rear? I really don't need a high-performance strut cuz I'm not off road much. Gimme your opinion...I'm open to suggestions. Thanks a lot!!! (I've asked a cpl. of people on here personally, I'd still like their opinions too...thanks again!!!)

  3. I live in NW Ohio and recently took my Pathy to get all of this fun stuff fixed. I had a leaky w/p so they replaced it. Also replaced timing belt, hoses, t-stat, cam and crank seals, belts, etc. It cost me $275.00 w/ tax for labor and $125.00 for parts. I thought that was fair. It took 'em a day...prolly woulda taken me 2.

  4. I'm kind of in the same boat.

But I did: plugs, wires, fuel/air filter, all 4 O2 sensors, PCV valve, and seafoam, and still get ~230 to a tank which equals ~12MPG but with the 31s I am running I don't know what the actual mileage is. I'm guessing ~13MPG. I guess the next things I can try is cleaning the MAF sensor and replacing the coolant sensor. Where is it located? I'm guessing on the lower part of the radiator?

The 2 prong coolant sensor I changed was on the thermostat housing. 19mm wrench is all you need. Cost bout 20 bucks.

  5. I've got a '96 Pathy w/ approx. 125,000 miles on it. My gas mileage never was that great, but I am recently getting about 10 -11 mpg. I just replaced my plugs and air filter(K&N). I thought that would make a big difference because the gap was approx. .080 on the old plugs(new are gapped @ .040) ,but nothing. I know about the oxygenated gas in the winter, but this is awful. My check engine light isn't on and the truck runs very well. Any hints maybe? I even installed manual hubs too. Any little tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks!!

  6. I got a bit of a chuckle with this.

All I put up in reality is a story, one that the press puts up, I just post it here. What part of what I out forward gives you the impression that I portray all Americans in that vein?

Is it the way I reply to what has been said here perhaps?

    Read this very carefully....

He is correct about laws, laws are to protect us from ourselves. Yes, we are morons, we inherently do stupid things, hence the need for laws. And even with the laws in place, we still do the moronic thing and break them, don't we? He is correct again, that the laws do work and save lives. He then goes on to say that the seat belt laws are stupid? Make up your mind, the law can't save lives and be stupid at the same time. Then he uses the analogy of kids on a 20 tone bus not wearing seat belts to justify the argument of the stupid law. Ever seen a bus that has rolled? And how many kids actually die in school buses each year btw?

Though I do not agree with "all" laws myself, is anyone seriously suggesting that drink driving is OK? Is anyone suggesting that speed limits should be removed. Could you imagine trying to get from one side of town to the other without the laws and controls in place? I hate red lights as much as the next guy, and I do love to have a few coldies before I hit the road. But the laws say I can not run a red light, why? I could very possibly kill someone. The red light is there in the first place for that very reason! And a few drinks are fine but too much.....well, the law says I can not drive if I am drunk. Why? For the very same reason as before.

Yes, even here we have what can only be described as revenue collection. Soft and pathetic laws or regulations that are designed to bleed you dry. These laws are obvious for what they are and have nothing to do with preventing deaths. Just try to comply is the only advice I have for that.

I said the LAWS are stupid...not the seat belts themselves. We should be smart enough to wear our seatbelts and helmets on our own. I don't need my hand held through life...I'm a big boy now. Drunk driving is NOT ok. This argument is becoming silly now. When you drink and drive, you put others in danger. When you don't wear your seatbelt or bike helmet, you ONLY put yourself in danger. People need to take responsibility for their actions...not practice passing the buck.

  7. If you could give an example of your fear actually happening somewhere, that'd be good.

Don't use Australia for your example though, because nothing like you have predicted has even been spoken about, nine or ten years after gun control, let alone implemented.

I'm not gonna cite from anywhere...I can simply see how our government works and how the domino effect happens...

  8. I'm only 29, but in my short time on this planet, I've realized how many of our freedoms are being taken away. This really isn't even about guns totally. It's about things like motorcycle helmet laws and seatbelt laws. I live in Ohio. No helmet law. But Michigan has one. In all of the states you have to wear a seatbelt(I think). I understand that helmets and seatbelts save lives....a lot of lives each year and normally i wear them both. But the lawmakers and a-hole politicians think they have to save our lives and guide us through life like we are morons. They really don't care. It's all about the almighty dollar. Revenue. Easy money from fines. But thats their way of sugar coating it for us so they look like caring people. Seat belt laws are stupid. Do any of you realize how many kids each day ride school busses without seatbelts...for hours at a time. But that's different though....RIGHT?!?!?! If you don't want to wear a helmet or seatbelt...no one should force you. It's totally your decision on how safe you want to be. All of this nit-picking, little by little, will come to a head some day. Lemme hear a reaction. Ok ....aaaannnd I'm spent!!!!

  9. Parents!!!! Oh don't get me started on the parents whom they OR their child never is at fault. Always the teachers or video games or movies or the medias fault somehow. Idiots who don't know how to discipline or lock up a gun!!!!

  10. Backyard chemist here....I added 1 gallon of this to approx 17 gal of 93 oct V-Power...this should yeild 94.16 octane.....loads of fun go VQ go!!

This equation is here...backyard octane booster

I stayed under my 5% mixture so I felt safe, definately a smoother idle and much more push. The gallon of Toluene was $15 and I had to explain myself buying it since it is used to make certain street drugs/narcotics. Who knows if you really get the octane you pay for? Here is a sweet way to get some for sure!! I can only imagine if I still had the smaller tires and no lift, oh and minus the 3 12"s and box in the hatch!!

Screw gas mileage...let's talk more about these street drugs/narcotics and how they are made...LOL
