  1. Ok so good and bad news. Good news is, the truck is out and in great running condition. The bad is im now out $700. I have a couple pictures but they dont really do the situation justice but at least itll give everyone a chance to check out my sweet ride. lol. Oh and as for the kid with the Silverado, that sux! okay, so I just tried to upload the pictures but they are too big. Any advice for posting them without really changing the sizes n stuff?

  2. So I was out wheelin the other night. Got stuck up in foot and a half of snow and bottomed out on ice. 300+ft off the road and down a really steep hill. Spent 18 hrs yesterday working on getting it out with no change at all. Got a diesel ram on 38 swampers stuck and a rubicon on 35 with a winch stuck 2 both trying to get me out. Of course his brand new warn 9500 winch broke. Did i mention my pathy is stock with 31 mudders. The dodge with the 38's wasnt doing any better than my pathy:) Got a towing company coming to check it out but they arent sure if they will be able to do it or not. So ill post up some pics later let y'all see whats up. Wish me luck guys.

  3. A couple months ago I noticed a slight clicking noise coming from somwhere and I can't figure it out. It doesnt make any noise when I am going under 10 but then it starts clicking again. It does not get louder/faster if i rev the engine or anything. Just this past month it has gotten a little worse. I would hate to go pay the shop to check it out seeing as how im broke now. Any ideas?

  4. Ok took the truck to the shop and $270 later it is repaired. Turns out the stock amplifier had a constant power draw on the battery so they ran a switch to the amp and now my truck should be fine. Battery was still under warrrenty and would not pass a load test because it had been jumped so many times, lol, so i got a new free battery too. Thanks for all your help and replies guys. Testing all the circuits was just way too much time for me. Thanks again.

  5. I had subwoofers in but have since taken them and all wiring out. I have an aftermarket radio but i do not think it is staying on. Also, the problem is not always in the morning. For example this morning, i jumped my car and did some errands then came home. About 4 hours later I went out to my car and the battery is dead again. The issue with slamming my door also works if i slam the passenger door. This all just seems so strange to me. I mean, while the car is driving and for a couple hours after I park it, everything works fine. If my alternator went out, wouldn't the truck die while driving? Thanks for the input though.

  6. So I have had my starter replaced and a new battery about 1 year old. They tested my alternator when replacing started and it checked out. My problem is I have to jump my truck just about everytime I start. This has been going on for quite some time now. Just dont have time to take it to the shop. (need the ride) Just this past week I noticed that 3 times when I turn the key to start all my electrics shutoff and I have nothing. Then I simply slam my drivers door shut and it comes back. But then still requires a jump to start. This will be the third time I will have taken my rig to the shop for starting issues and I just dont think they are getting it. Does anyone have a clue as to what may be the problem and how much I would be looking at investing in this seemingly lost cause? Thanks.

  7. We do the same sort of thing at my high school except it only happens every 4 years and they bring in the University of Michigan Helicopter and they have kids in the car when they open it up and its really intense. They load them in ambulances and drive off. crazy stuff. That sucks about the pathy though. Couldn't you have just contacted the towing company and gotten it for like $100? I'd love to have a pathy convertible.

  8. I actually went back to the shop to ask about their exhausts they had there. Unfortunately the same dumb gal was there. When i asked her about the mufflers she says, "For your Jimmy out there?" I calmly corrected her by saying Pathfinder. She went on her fancy computer and started telling me about my exhaust system. All of what she said was wrong and I know because i went to the exhaust shop and looked at my system from the body. She told me all about my 1 3/4" Inlet and c/c. I just walked away, she says while I leave, "what's wrong? would you like me to order the muffler for you?"

haha....wish I had a good reliable 4x4 shop near me. Sure would save me alot of time and trouble for parts.

  9. I had no idea this would be such a big issue. Its just 4x4 people. lol. U can put it in 4hi while moving and its not bad for the truck. As far as needing to know how fast you can go in 4 wheel, you dont need to know. I drive everyday through about 3-5in of snow in 2wheel with no problem. Only time I need to use it is if im offroad or get stopped on a icy hill. Cool 4 pages on this though.

  10. my advice is tint the windows. First thing i did when i got my pathy. I went 5% on the back 3 and 20% on the rear passenger doors. The 5% provides incredible darkness to keep away wondering eyes and the 20 in the back keeps a very factory look that is darker than avg, but the cops wont give u trouble with it. total price at a shop, $140.

  11. haha. Great! Thanks alot guys. love the support from the community. Yeah, i dont think i will be going back in there. I was standing there dropjawed when she started talking. Very funny now that I think about it. Very cool. Will get back when i start the lifting process. Is it hard to put like the 2" BL on with very limited tools and know how
