  1. Did a check today, no fluids seemed in need of replacing, I took it out for a drive twice today and only the second time did it act up. it gave a 'Check engine soon' light for "cylinder 4 misfire" which has never happened
  2. So I'm seeking everyone's wisdom on my R50. I just purchased her back in October of 2020, and was given virtually no history on the maintenance of the vehicle. Anyways, just tonight, I was driving up a hill and after reaching the top I was experiencing a shudder during acceleration at lower RPMs (1400-2500). I gave her a bit of gas and it seems to disappear (or at least get masked) when the RPMs get higher. I decided not to push it to any breaking point so I drove home as nice as possible. It immediately felt like it could be the tranny or torque converter, but I'm really hoping it's not. I'll be trying to determine the issue tomorrow, but I am looking to the NPORA forum to see if any of you have had this issue and if so, how did you find out what it was and what did you do to solve it?? Even if you haven't had this issue, I would love to hear some tests I can do in my garage to try and at least rule out some potential issues. First tests will be the fluid levels, then some revving while in park. Thanks for all the help!
  3. Hey just gave this thread a read and awesome stuff! I've been trying to pinpoint the clunk in the front that comes from mostly going over bumps and uneven roads. Was in the garage today trying to pinpoint, I found that trying to bounce the driver and passenger side didn't have any noise, but rocking laterally did, sounded like it was coming from the sway bar bushings. Unfortunately, being a student, I don't have much expendable money to try and fix the issue, so I am hoping it is the bushings since that is a quick and cheap fix. If it is the steering rack mount bushings, any idea on how much would that run a guy? Thanks
  4. Sounds good! Tried looking for that kit, do you have a link for it??
  5. Yes sorry, I think you're right! I definitely got confused when I was posting. I was considering switching to LED's and fixing the headlight fogging. I am looking to switch to white LED's and curious if there are reliable conversions kits that won't make my wallet sweat!
  6. Hey everyone! I recently purchased a 2001 pathfinder LE. I already love it so much and plan to keep it for as many years as possible. I do have one issue so far and that is the lights. I am looking to upgrade the visibility for late night drives down dirt roads (as well as city driving). I'm a student so I cannot afford a lot, I'm aiming to keep the factory housing, so is there any good/ cheaper conversion kits to halogens? or perhaps some other alternative better than halogens? Thanks! This is probably my first of many other topics to optimize my pathfinder; so if you have any other inexpensive upgrades, please feel free to let me know!
