  1. Thanks for the quick reply. My tranny rebuilder has told me that the binding compound used for the clutches in the torque converter breaks loose and the material shreads, then clogs the filter and fluid starves the transmission. Both planetaries were gone on mine at only 85k. The speedo on the 93 uses a cable and the 94 is electric. The clusters will not swap because they are different. I need a speedo gear that works in the manual tranny with an electrical connector. It's probable that this part is available from a 94 or 95 5spd but I'm not sure. I will PM you my email hoping you can send me a pic of the pedal assemblies to see if they are different. I appreciate the help, Thanks!
  2. I recently bought a 94 2wd pathy with a dead auto tranny. These trannys don't have a very good reputation and I found someone parting a 93 2wd 5spd pathy. I bought all of the parts from the guy to do the conversion. Everything was going well untill I ran into a couple of problems. 1st. The 94 uses a speedo gear at the tranny that has an electrical connector. The tranny from the 93 uses a cable for the speedo. 2nd. The pedal assemblies from the 93 don't appear as if they will work in a 94. The dashs are different between the 94 -93 and the A/C ducting appears to be in the way. The mounting points also look different. 3rd. Finding a wiring diagram to wire the backup lights and cruise control. 4th, (may not be a problem, haven't checked yet) will the 93 5spd ECU work in the 94 auto pathy? I would really appreciate any help from someone who has completed this conversion. Any info to resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated. It appears that I have a complete conversion kit for a 90-93 that may not be compatible with a 94 or 95.
