No official tune ups but i replaced the fuel filter about a month ago if not alittle less and same with the spark plugs

So ive got a 1992 nissan pathfinder x3 v6 3.0l. I know that vehicles need to warm up in a cold start to run properly but this is strange. If it sits and gets cold and i try to run it the engine doesnt have any power. I can floor the pedal and the rpms stay between 500 and 750. It takes about 15 minutes to warm up and even then, until i get going its jittery; High rpms for a low speed on acceleration. After a cold start it barely moves and sometimes backfires. But after it gets going and is actually driving for about 20 minutes, it runs fine. Any suggestions? The timing is alittle off so it gets alittle higher rpms than usual and i havent had time to fix that but until seasons changed its been running okay.

No but i just adjusted it by ear and its running better so im just going to get a light sensor and set it back up

So my 92 pathy has had some issues. I replaced the knock sensor and afee things and put it all back together. It was running the best it has in years. I changed the distributor and the distrubutor cap last night. Now it wont move. In park and neutral itll rev up just fine but the moment it gets in gear, it wont get above 500 rpms and it refuses to move. Any thoughts? I have till monday to get it running so i can get to work and i cant find any info anywhere!

So luckily my neighbor has a 95 nissan chevy and he gave me a repair manual for it. It spans '87 to '95 pathfinders and nissan trucks. I found the knock sensor. Pulled off the upper intake manifold and just spent afew hours cussing up a storm and forcing my hand deep into the engine to unplug the last knock sensor. I relocated it to the top of the intake manifold but i feel i will change that soon. I put everything back together and quadruple checked everything over and over again. Started it up. After a few tries of it getting started up and running again, the idle seems fine. But now when i put it in gear, the while vehicle shakes fairly violently and the moment i put it in park, the vehicle shut itself off. Any thoughts?

Hey, so i recently got an error code on my 1992 nissan pathfinder xe v6 3.0L. Can anyone shed some light on where the knock sensor is?
