I put in a brand new switch no difference. Still no dash tail or running lights. So still not working and I have an extra switch. Any ideas? Is there a fuse that powers all thouse lights?

Ok so I pulled the headlight switch off and cleaned/checked all the connections they are good. But I discovered while touching the connections with a screw driver interesting things happened. When I had the Headlights turned ON, I touched a screw driver too both the middle connection (running lights I believe) and the one just to its left (right low beam I believe). when I connected them together via screwdriver, the running lights, tail lights, dash lights, and door chime all worked! Weird.... What does this tell me? Can I rule out fuse? It has to be something with the switch right?

The Switch was Brand Spanken new. And less than a year on the car. I pulled fuses and looked for broken connections. I was wondering if I could be pointed in the right direction on fuses. do I need to get a test light and check them?

So my dash lights and tail lights and running lights are all out. Although the brake lights do work. also one headlight on low beam is out. I would normally think Headlight switch but I put in a brand new one not too long ago. So im thinking fuse, but none look burnt out. Are there fuses located other places in the vehicle? What fuse powers the dash lights? Any Ideas? Help very appreciated!

Yeah I found the bolts behind the heat sheild. Just the cat is off.

Nope the intermediate pipe is still there. All I did was unbolt the cat and everything behind it.

I would be interested in that header deal. Im not in califonia and I dont need a cat in my area. What I want to do is put a glasspack where the cat used to be and run pipes back out the way they were stock. Think that would be a good amount of back pressure?

My Cat went to hell all clogged up and I removed it. I don’t really want to put on a new one due to the fact I have no money and there are not any emissions tests where I live. So I want to just throw a glass pack muffler on there and call it good. But wtf do I do with the o2 sensor? I understand what it does but I have really no idea how it affects pathfinders. Mine is an '88 that runs like @!*%. And speaking of running like @!*%. Before I removed the exhaust it ran bad but my auto teacher sprayed carb cleaner into the intake which made it idle good for a sec. He said it’s running really lean. What might cause that? All ideas are very appreciated!

I found one today at the local wrecking yard out of a '89 installed and works great! By the way did I mention $20 woot! So much less then what Nissan charged $320!

I need to get a new MAF sensor and my only options are wreaking yards or go straight through Nissan. Can't find any wreaking yards in my area with 1988 pathfinders so I’m asking what else will work? What other years will have the same MAF sensor as my '88? Other vehicles? Also should I even get a used one? I don’t really want to have to go through this all again. Is it worth spending the money for a brand new one? Thanks

This sounds alot like what is happening to me. The guy I took mine to said its the MAF sensor now im working on getting one for cheep. So im not sure if that really is the problem yet.

Thats pretty much what im asking. Is there anything wrong with driving with the hubs locked on dry pavement?

Im driving down from skiing in the snow in 4h and the road clears up. I pop it into 2h but the hubs are still locked? Do I need to stop and backup the three feet to unlock the hubs?

This problem is really starting to bug me and cost me a lot of money! The car lurches=lack of fuel. Lack of fuel=clogged injectors. Replaced injectors and they clog again. Injector cleaner fixes temporally. Car sat for a long time. Crap in fuel tank from sitting is re-clogging injectors? Take to shop have fuel tank flushed? Maybe that will fix? Any ideas?

The new injectors seemed to fix it untill this morning! Its doing it agian! So annoying! I just want it fixed! Its time for injector cleaner.

Why do I want the injectors? Make sure they really replaced them?

They are saying the fuel injectors are full of crap and need to be replaced. But I still dont get how the F they got all clogged up?

Well my pathfinder just got loaded on the tow truck and is off to the shop hopefully they will fix it this time.
