One note when installing the springs, try and get it done without removing the bump stops. Mine were bolted in and we thought it would be easy to remove them to make the installation easier. Both bolts broke off. A big pain drilling them out. Just and FYI if it can be done without removing them.

Working on it this weekend, should have some numbers for you tomorrow.

My thermal switch Nissan part number 16391-31u00 is leaking on my R50 and I am going to attempt to fix. I am first going to attempt the O-ring replacement. Would love a detailed description of the process if anyone out there has had experience with this. Not really in the mood to spend $125 if all it is is a 50 cent O-ring. Would love the help.

Going to lift the weekend after this. Wondering if there are any tips for installing these springs such as what to look out for and what needs out of the way. I do have a mechanic helping me but he probably has never put Land Rover front springs on a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder rear before. I am also putting Bilstein 5125s on the back and know there are a few tricks for those.
Tips and hints for the front would also be helpful. (KYB with 1 1/2" spacer for a 2" lift on front.) Do have Camber bolts.
One thing I am getting mixed messages on is torque. "Flurry" give 29 ft lbs much lower than Nissan Specs. and so on. Torque for Camber bolts would be helpful also.
I Do not want to highjack this post and will start a build thread of my own, just had those thoughts on my mind.
Thanks

That looks bad ass. When you get a chance can you send us measurements comparing front and rear. Right now my front is sagging really bad and I have 2" of rake from back to front. Yours looks good, just wondering the difference.

I think the general consensus around here is the KYB struts are good, but the strut bearing and top plate are sketchy. I played it safe and went genuine nissan as most people recommend. I think for camber bolts I have specialty products 81260. No complaints
I will look at the top plate and may just re-use it and then order new bearings as they are not too expensive.

Any recommendations on Caber Bolts?
Also is their any other recommended maintenance and or changes I should think about doing when lifting?
All parts are in with shocks on the way (Bilstein). 9447 springs on the back, new Moog on the front with 1 1/2" (2"lift) spacers, new KYB struts
All I lack is the Cam Bolts.
Thinking about doing the brakes while it is taken apart and changing pads etc. and bleeding lines with new brake fluid.
The pathfinder has 137,000 miles purchased in 1997 with 20k miles.

This thread is awesome. About to overhaul my rusty suspension with all new struts/mounts/shocks and figured I'd do a lift at the same time.
Gonna go with Rancho struts and shocks
Moog front mounts with bearings
Moog camber kit
Moog front springs
Fluery's 2.5" spacer for the front
NRC9447 springs for the rear to match the front lift
Hoping to have it all done in Feb cost around $600 in parts
I am going with KYB front struts and rebuild kit
New Moog front springs
Fluery's 2.0 spacer for front ( being a bit safer)
NRC9447 for rear
Cam Screws
Bilstein shocks
I am going to build some camping drawers for the back which will bring the back down a bit

Any idea about new shocks with NRC9447s

NRC9447s on the way with KYB struts and spacers

Purchased the Pro Comp rims 15x8. They will stick out a bit but should work.
-
I am going with the NRC9447 for the back with ? shocks. I am thinking this will give 2- 2 1/2" in the rear. I am going with KYB struts in the front. My question is what could give me 2" of lift in the front via spacers and springs? My front springs are probably a bit saggy if I re-use them. I was t thinking new springs up front with a spacer. Are there any suggestions and combinations that anyone is using that is working well? Also has anyone found a complete KYB strut with spring included?
-
Rim is 15x8. Not sure their is any legal limits in New Mexico. Half the vehicles in my are fling mud. lol. I am going to mount one today and check it out.
-
Will these fit over brake calipers? And will they stick out too far? Also they were off a Toyota 4 Runner 2000 ish. I am thinking the Nissan and Toyota rim would be the same model? Need advice, I can save money buying used.
-
I used the NRC 9446 springs and got a 2.5" lift in the rear. I am using KYB rear shocks. My front spacers are 2" and I got 2" of lift. I have not noticed a sag yet.
Are the KYB shocks longer than stock? If so do you know how much longer or the model. number.
Thanks

Are the front spacers you are using true 2" or is your final lift 2" with slightly smaller spacers?
-
Also what shock are you using in the back with the NRC9447 coils?
-
A bit confused. I was looking at this chart and the NRC9447 is 14.8 inches where the NRC9446 is 15.19 inches. Has anyone found which one will give 2" of lift in the back? Liking this option over spacers in the back.

Went with KYB struts with MOOG OEM springs and added a 1 1/2" spacer. added 2.5" to a blown front end. The ride is superb. I am sure a bit softer than EMU or Rancho. Used the Land Cruiser spring on the back. Love the combo. Even with the 2" rake.
