  1. I have fought the r134 headache in my 1990 pathfinder xe for the last 3 years. I had new hoses made, replaced all o rings with PAG oil safe green seals, replaced reciever/dryer, and replaced the thermo expansion valve. All parts are supposed to be r 134 specific. I recently changed to electric fans to keep air flow over the condenser while in traffic. The ac works great until the ambient temp gets to 100 degrees. Has anyone found a fix that is compliant with the People's Republic of California? Or should I just gut the system from a '96 pathfinder and make it fit?
