  1. BACKROADS MAPBOOK that is worth it's weight in gold. You should be able to find alot of places to go 'splorn in there. Also the 4 Wheel Drive Association of BC meets every 2nd Saturday of the month at the Sasquatch Inn in harrison. It's a great way to find some trails and get out wheeln'. I posted some pics of our last run in the pic and videos section (http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20673) Hope to see you on the trails.
  2. no centerfire rifles but shotguns, with slugs! I'm going to be blowing pumpkins up with my pump 12 with 1 oz slugs. I'll be pushing for centerfire as I don't really see why not as the range is approved for up to .338
  3. For any one in the lower mainland that's intrested Port Coquitlam & District Hunting & Fishing Club is holding a pumpkin shoot on Sunday, November 2nd. All the proceeds will go to the local food bank. Come on up and have some fun Port Cquitlam & District Hunting & Fishing Club
  4. It truly is an off roading "Day's of our Lives" or is it more like "General Hospital" it's all the same anyways
  5. I thought they were up to 32 pages of drama? I just got out the popcorn, best free entertainment around
  6. hmmm... I was unaware that the regular folks were told to not touch it, looks like everyone up there was lucky that the cop was uninformed. I really do get what your saying about the "mog guy" from reading the aftermath over at BC 4x4, and watching the way things were run when we were pulling it out. If it was pulled out by the government it would have been one hell of a bill for the jeeps registered owner. for a guy that ended up with a truck in the lake he certainly did have horseshoes up his ass
  7. well if you do the right thing for the wrong reason, at least you still did the right thing? This was the first time I met him so I can't pass judgment. It's good that the truck got out as I love sunrise lake as well, great little spot to camp. and for those of us that only have the limited slip in the rear the v-rock is not beverage friendly.
  8. It was an impressive recovery indeed, all in all 3 winches were fried, as to how it got there, the owner couldn't get the truck into park but thought the e-break would do the trick, the e-brake failed the truck rolled down the hill through a stump and knocked the mirrors off as it split 2 trees, then off the embankment into the lake. I kinda wish I had seen it as it sounds impressive.
  9. I normally go up on the maintenance run. any excuse I can use to go wheeln' I normally take. I make use of the both the sites so I don't mind helping clean up. As you can see we all worked hard
  10. Well not me personally, a full sized bronco and a mog did most the pulling. I simply hooked up shackles and what not. but After the tug strap attached to the winch cable snapped the truck stayed like this for a while I guess 25000 lbs of pull was too much for this one but we kept going but at long last we got it out after that we dragged it down to the FSR and onto a trailer and to think I expected an uneventful day wheeling and then this
  11. wait for it.................................... "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...."
  12. strictly because I have no idea where I'm going in Squamish, if you wanna lead us around squamish, I'm sure you could convince us to head out in an other week or two. baring any carnage.
  13. You don't have to twist my arm to go wheelin'. Just make a post and I'm sure we'll be more than happy to go out.
  14. OK then, we'll try for secret lake, the hard way down to hale creek, sunrise lake and look out lake. As far as picking up your girlfriend is concerned, pick her up the night before, you'll have more fun that way see you at the Hatzic Shell 0930?
  15. those damn rowdies, Harriosn I know where I'm going but Squamish, go go back roads mapbook.
  16. for those of you who aren't going to pemberton for the music, I'm lookn' to set up a trail run for the 27th of July. The location is up for discussion. Any takers?
  17. Cool, I'll see if I can't get some time off in mid to late August, do some wheeling sleep on the dirt. good times had by all
  18. Hey, I was wondering if any one would be interested in doing an overnight trip, something like bible camp. something a little more out of the way and different. I finally upgraded my wheel/tire combo and am in the mood to get the truck dirty
  19. got the truck back together I see, If I have my rubber on by then I'm down other than that I may just have to ride shotgun with someone, or the back if we get muffins
  20. :worthless: it's offical now hope you guys had a good day wheeling, I'm just not willing to go into the woods with out a full sized spare
  21. Any of you guys running 235/75R15 tires? I may consider doing some wheeling if you guys are. can always steal your spare if worst comes to worst
  22. Doesn't look like I'll be able to make it, blew a tire at 8th and burrard of all places. Have fun guys. I should be out for the next one
  23. the :coffee!: first is solid advice, who ever said that must have been a wise man indeed. the Hatzic shell is a little further down the road ( Google Maps ) the sasquatch inn in harrison mills ( Google Maps ) is a good meeting spot as well, we can air down there, so any stragglers can catch up. look forward to wheeling with y'all again. should be a good time.
  24. some shots of the V-rock at sunrise lake y'all think we should try it ?
