That's awesome!! I sure want to be in on the next one, I'm just waiting to get my tires as my back ones are bald

Where is inch creek? Is it just past Mission?
-
Cool, yeah I like PAP. I didn't realize it until this morning but my belt is quite loose/old/cracking, still spins it but loose. I might try a new belt w/proper tension first. Thanks for the replies!!

Hi there, my alternator packed it in, does anyone have a used one in good shape w/lower k's I'd like to buy it fast. Thanks Greg
-
No, my purpose on this post was to see if I could meet up with someone before hitting the rough stuff. My Pathy is old and tires are 31's but the backs are pretty worn. I'm not fully comfortable doing some stuff alone due to some other overdue maitenence as well but hopefully we can get some wheeling in soon as I work on the truck

Oh hey Shayne! That sucks about the Supra. I'm going through some BS too, had a 57 trim that was built by a "pro" and it lasted about 300KM. Now he won't warranty it and it came with a "warranty" It's been an absolute BS'n disaster. Good thing the old Pathy is keeping me happy!!(got it from my brother) a few months ago as it sat for almost 4 years.

Yeah, you wanna meet up somewhere??
-
Sounds great!! I'm hoping to be up there Saturday around noon-2:00
-
Sweet!! So airing down a bit may be a good idea??
-
How about Saturday?? Looks like I had plans Sunday for my father in laws birthday that I just found out about.... I checked the weather and it looks better Saturday too.
-
lol, still have the Supra. Always loved wheeling though and enjoyed it before the Supra. I guess I like the best of both worlds, heh So.... Who the heck is this anyway, lol!!!

I really want to go to Sunrise Lake(Harrison Area) I went up the trail to V-rock which looks a little challenging and didn't want to go it alone, after that it's smooth sailing apparently. It looks like a nice lake from the pics I've seen, LMK if you're interested or any other wheeling on the weekend. Cheers Greg

LOL, cool sounds like good times!! So its a pretty rough trail?
-
Sounds good, so did you guys go and how was it??
-
Damn I gotta miss it, I hope to be on the next run!!
-
You got it!!, I turned around right in front of V-rock and have a couple pics. I figured doing it alone wouldn't be too smart. I might want to go on the run with the club. I have 31's, are the rock sliders nerf bars? Thanks for the info Cheers!

Cool, I thought I heard they re-opened that, I've always wanted to see Coquitlam lake. Are you guys still going?? I want to but I also really want to do my timing belt so we'll see if I can get 'er done in time!!(no pun intended, lol)

Anyone been to Sunrise Lake?? I was on the trail last weekend and it was getting pretty rough so I chickened out(it was only me and the wife in the truck) It's off the Harrison logging road and now I really want to go for it!! I saw pics of the lake and it looks nice. Where's eagle mountain?

hahaha thanks for the responses. I'm going to throw some insurance on it w/o doing it right now. I know, I know it's a gamble but this thing is so rusted out that I almost want to take it out for a bit of wheeling to see if anything else is wrong. I just don't trust it and if it breaks oh well, I traded it for an Xbox 360 to my brother who had it sitting for almost 4 years. I guess I need a reason for throwing more money into it(I'd like to do a few things while doing the timing belt) and a successful wheeling trip will make it(motivate me) or break it.

Thanks for the responses, Actually when I twist it between the cam gears it dosen't want to go beyond 90 degrees, maybe just seeing the belt movement when running scared me a bit, I don't know. How long of a job dose it usually take doing this timing belt having above average mechanical skills? Just curious. Thanks!!

Hello, I took the top timing cover off and started it. I noticed the timing belt seemed quite loose when running. Are they normally loose? somewhat loose? I don't know the history, the timing belt seems to be in good condition but I was hoping to drive from A to B for a couple weeks before doing the timing belt(my other vehicle isn't on the road and I'm in a bit of a bind). Any suggestions would be great!! Cheers

Got My Brothers 89 After Sitting For 3.5 Years!
cooleeze replied to cooleeze's topic in New People Start Here!
Thanks a bunch guys!! I took out the back seats and.... wow theres a lot of rust holes. I'll be fixing it though when I get a bit of weekend time along with the exhaust. I'm almost thinking of just inspecting the timing belt if its easily accessible, but I probably should just change it. One of the first things I was going to check in the manual would be the fluid types for all the drivelines(diffs, TC, MT) and capacities. Would this be the same as the 94?? Cheers and thanks again, hope to be up and wheeling soon!!
