Just finished installing a bumper on my 03 pathfinder and part of the air intake system hangs down really low. What do people normally do with this guy? Thanks for any advice. Scott

Just had my hubs rugged ridge hubs fail, and was thinking about replacements. I was thinking about using the warn hubs but i still use my 2003 alloys occasionally and they apparently do not clear. I was wondering if any one had tried making them fit with a little grinding, i think there is only a mm or two required? Has anyone tried this- or is this just a bad idea? Anyways I don't really want to go with the rr hubs again as I dont really feel that they are great quality- but i dont really think there are any other alternatives. Thanks for any feedback or advice.

Not necessarily, it has for some people. I have the tx14 and have been running manual hubs for a year and the light has never come on. Only important thing is to keep it out of auto.

Sorry for another tire sizing questio but i have just seen a lot of conflicting information on the backspacing necessary for upgrading the size of tires on my pathy. Any place that sells lifts or spacers for the pathy seem to say that you need to go to 3.75" bs on the rims. However i have seen people in the max tire size thread claiming 4" bs would be enough, and when reviewing the numbers on an offset calculator it seems that the combination I was thinking of 16x10" rim with 4" BS and 275/75R16 tire should have more clearance than stock. Can anyone put my mind at ease before i order the rims?

Thanks for your thoughts, after reading some accounts of the lokka it was my understanding that you would get the chirping chattering anytime the hubs were locked and it was not recommended by lokka to drive on pavement this way 2x or 4x. My theory with one hub engaged is that everything would work correctly as the front gearing/ drive would be spinning with only one or two hubs locked- with the lokka installed. But with one hub locked you would not get the chirping in 2x or 4x and could still engage 4x to get an extra drive wheel around town for light snow duty. Anyways hopefully someone with first hand knowledge can confirm or deny.

I have been thinking of installing a Lokka in the front but am worried about loosing winter street drive-ability. Quite often in the winter where i live it goes from pavement to snow and vice-versa. I had heard that it is common on other vehicles to simply lock only one hub to get similar function to an open diff. My question is will this cause any issues on the pathy? I think that if I run my current setup in 4wd drive with one hub locked i might run into issues? However i don't think this would be an issue with a lokka installed, Anyone care to confirm or deny or offer any thoughts.
