  1. I just went through this same thing. After hours of research I pulled the trigger. I have a97

    AC springs 2"

    1" strut spacer

    Bilstien longer rear shocks

    4" B'S. I couldn't find 3.75

    285/75/16 fierce attitude tires

    I added a 1.75 spacer because I thought I needed it

I had to trim metal in the front

After wheeling I rubbed my rear wheel wells

    I just removed the spacer

It clears the strut by a hair

Tested the rear and no rub yet

I have yet to wheel with this set up

Manual hubs are a necessity to save CV as well as the increased mpg749d078fef255bc1dc3d4a47ab8fd5b1.jpg

  2. 1997 manual 3.3

Everything has been fine till the other day.

I had less than 1/4 tank of gas.

    Engine was idling weird.

While accelerating in first and second truck was jerking like someone was switching the gas on and off.

In 3rd gear under very mild throttle pressure. Every thing was fine.

I filled up the tank, problem continued.

Next day I drive it 10 miles and no problems and the check engine light is not on.

    Any ideas

    Thanks in advance.

  3. My .02.

If you're going in there do it right the first time. You have to compress the springs to get it on the strut.

I would recommend AC springs 2" lift and add a 1 " strut spacer. Once you lift I would definitely install locking hubs, Warn, Mile Marker or the like. Also check front ball joints, steering rack. I know it all cost money. But doing things 3 times really sucks

I have the springs and they are great. My old ones were really soggy and sucked for off roading going over rocks and slamming down.

    Good luck
