  1. Im interested in buying a 97' automatic pathy, and i test drove it today, and noticed two things. The CV axles are a little damaged, the boots that hold the grease and bushings are torn, and i dont know for how long, so i dont know how extensive the damage is, and second, when changing lanes, or just turning, the back end seems to slide a little bit in the back. Now i know that boots can be a major problem if they are left un-fixed, but i dont know how long they have been torn, and my friend who has worked on his 97' hundreds of times, said the back end sway could be due to shot bushings. I was wondering what your input is, and an estimate on how much it will cost to fix it. Im taking it to a mechanic tomorrow, or monday, but i wanted to see if i could find out now Thanks Andrew
