  1. It is actually very simple to get it all back in time. You put the #1 cylinder at the top, then put the belt on the crank sprocket. Count 43 teeth from the punch mark on the crank to the punch mark on the driver's side camshaft sprocket. Once that is set, count 40 teeth from the punch mark on the driver's side camshaft sprocket to the punch mark on the passenger's side camshaft sprocket. That is as in-time as it will ever be. Note that the punch marks on the sprockets may not line up perfectly with the dimples on the timing cover, but you can rely 100% on the method I just described.

this was on another post when you do this do you use the lines on the belt or do you just pick a spot any where on the belt?

  2. it starts right up every time. but when you rev it up it just don't sound right like theres a hesitation or something. you can rev it up and theres no odd noise or anything. this is my 1st time doing it. i got the info off the site on how to do it. it may be off a couple teeth or something. anyone in south jersey want to make some money to come by and check it out and help me fix it .

  3. all most like a shudder.i just looked at it again the lines on the belt are they suppose to line up with the dots on the cam every time if you start and and stop the motor . the dot all line up but when i just checked it after running it the linesare no where near the dots on the cam gear. i'm i makeing sense.

  4. hey guys

i just got done taking it apart got down to the belt. i don't know if this is a good thing or not the belt did not break i lost about 8 teeth on the belt down by the crank gear. going to put the new one on and see what happens.

  6. hi all

have a 90 pathy and today i went to adjust my e- brake and there is no more adjustment to be have.the handel inside pulls all the way up and they don't hold at all.do i need new cables or is there some kind of a brake pad for the e- brake?

  7. Your auto-hub is stuck. You can try taking it apart and cleaning it with tranny fluid (do not use grease). It is probably just real dirty. A permanent fix is to replace both hubs with some manual hubs.

    thankyou!!!

  8. hey all

wrote a post about my axle problem earlyer today i just went out and jacked up my 90 pathy to try and find that noise i was hearing . i spun the wheeel and the new axle shaft i put in yesterday spins in 2wd and the passengerside does not spin. do you think my auto hubs are bad.when in 4wd they both spin like they should. pass side unlocks when you spin it in reverse but driver side does not. driver side stays lock in 2wd and 4wd which also turns my front driveshaft.so what i'm say is in 2wd the driverside cv is locked and the other side is free. whats up with that? please help!!!

  9. If it's not overheating, what's the problem? Hot comes in the top, cool goes out the bottom...normal operation. Is the heater blowing lukewarm air? I didn't quite understand what your problem is.

heater blowing luke warm air.also overflow tank is filled pass the max mark.i have not add any coolent to it.my rad was low on antifreeze that what made think something was wrong.and i have no leaks.
