Dear all,
Hi there from Qatar. Its a great pleasure going through your posts but ignorance and lack of knowledge takes the worst turn in me. I hope you dont mind me asking you questions which I am sure you have already answered a gazzillion times
Its a 2001 SE Pathfinder and this is how it looked like the night I bought it:
So here it goes:
1 - Front Coil Spacers (FCS-A-1-R50) - 2 Inch - Should I go for 2.5Inch if I have a 3 Inch rear?Rear Coil Spacers (RCS-A-1-R50) - 3 Inch2 - I will also be getting airlift 1000 from amazon http://www.amazon.com/LIFT-60742-1000-Air-Spring/dp/B000BTK8WA/ref=sr_1_5?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1434753387&sr=1-5&keywords=airlift+1000&pebp=1434753402991&perid=1P7CW2ZWHDPF5S7QPJTE3 - Coil Springs - Recommendations plz4 - Struts - Recommendations plz5 - 1.5" Hubcentric Wheel spacers - http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-pc-1-5-6x5-5-FOR-NISSAN-Wheel-Spacers-Adapters-12x1-25-Studs-6-lug-/111248033279?vxp=mtr&hash=item19e6e645ff (Recommended by the awesome Steve )6 - Warn Premium Manual Hubs - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CQDPIQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3F0F5YPLZW06N&coliid=I221M4NVB28QW0I currently run on 245/70/16 Scorpion Pirelli Tyres and will soon be replacing them with bigger all terrain tyres.Terrain is desert sand dunes and rocks. The vehicle will also be used for extensive long travels. There are 2-3 passengers on the rear seat. Cannot afford a bumper and a winch at the moment. What else will I need and require for the suspension? Bushings, Torsion and Sway bars? Brake lines? Anything else that might need to be replaced or added? Am asking cuz I will be ordering them online and to save costs on shipping to Qatar, I will need to order in one goI would really appreciate your input n guidance n suggestions please.Regards,DJ- 2

Amazing... A job well done
Inspired from this, I have decided to build a roof rack for my 2001 Pathfinder. I dunno how am gonna manage that here in Qatar as the equipment or the material is not readily available and if I order online, the shipping costs alone will be more then what I will be bargaining for
Wish me luck...

Pasting the following here from a Pinned post made by 88pathoffroad: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/19042-pathfinder-common-problemsfixes-read-this-first/
WD21 Pathfinders with the VG30i and VG30E engines were built with weak exhaust manifold studs that are prone to breaking because the exhaust manifolds tend to expand unevenly when warming up and cooling down. This causes the infamous "ticking" noise often heard from the front of Pathfinders which quiets down after the manifolds have heated up sufficiently. This applies to all Pathfinders from 1987 through 1995.
Installing revised manifold studs are the best solution to this problem. Extracting broken studs from your V6 heads is a BIG pain in the ass. One person recommends striking the ends of broken off studs several times with an impact tool or hammer to loosen the studs a bit before trying to remove them with either a stud extractor or vice grips. Soaking the studs and nuts overnight (at least) in PB Blaster or WD-40 is a must. If you choose to drill a broken stud to remove it, be very VERY careful, because the water jacket of the engine comes very close to the exhaust stud holes. It's entirely possible to drill a hole accidentally into your water jacket, which would be a Bad Thing To Do.
The revised manifold stud Nissan part number is: 14065-V5004 Revised Exhaust Manifold Stud. The cost on those is around $2 per stud. They're essentially 300ZX twin turbo studs, and they're made of a different type of steel with a more similar coefficient of expansion that doesn't tend to break like the standard ones.Hope this helps...

Thank you teixeira and Pav for the warm welcome
I love posting pix so plz stay tuned
Need to start with suspension and the lift first and will be contacting Steve of 4x4Designs pretty soon... Apart from the lift, I also would like to get ideas about the matching suspension that can give me a 3" lift so I can go worry free about the bumps n humps and all those huge sand dunes
Should I start another thread or I can simply ask questions here as the intro flow and I get to know more people and make new friends along the way...??

Hey all,
Name is Abdul Rab but friends call me DJ although not a DJ at all . Born and living a happy comfy life in the good ol Qatar, Arabian Gulf but originally from Pakistan, I am 37 years old and an Offroading enthusiast. I love road trips, the great outdoors and the sand dunes. I bought my 2001 SE R50 Pathfinder almost 5 weeks ago with 155000 Kilometers on it and have already put on around 9000KM. Its my only ride and I use it for both On and Offroad adventuresI will be posting alot of pix from our weekly Desert Drives. I am also a part of a local Offroad Group. I will be asking alot of questions from you all experienced awesome people. Now that I am back home in Qatar after my awesome road trip to Oman, I will start modifications. This is what I plan to do in the very near future and obviously, your recommendations, suggestions and advice is more then welcome and appreciated. Just so you know, I am completely ignorant with the technical lingo and I might ask you what means what from time to time...
2" Front lift
3" Rear lift (I usually carry alot of weight like camping gear including a kitchen box, recovery gear, chairs, compressor, rock climbing gear which are always in the car and also 3 passengers in the back seat)
1.50" Wheel Spacers
Roof Rack but I dont even have the bars yet
270 degree Foxwing Awning
Snorkel
LED Lights
... and so on
Looking forward to hearing from you all

DJ
