Depends on what kind of hardware you want. The vendor I've been using to make my polyurethane rod ends can supply everything needed for both upper and lower sets, not including the tube, for around $350 to my door. So Im thinking 600 out the door for a complete set of 4 ready to bolt on with polyurethane bushings. The units above were polished and prettied up post welding which isn't necessary and brings up cost. It was purely for aesthetics.
Currie Enterpries makes Johny Joints that are to size for the R50 that run about $55 a piece, 8 required for a set, and that doesn't include threaded tubing adapters or lock nuts but would be a superior product for a dedicated wheeler.

They can be set to stock lengths or extended for lift. The threaded rod ends are adjustable.

I might be making a limited run of adjustable or static arms if folks are interested. Just about done with this set for FerrariOwner123.
1.75" OD/0.180" wall Chromoly tube with 1.25x12 rod end adapters. Welded and turned. The post welding machine work isn't necessary but I prefer the aesthetic. Hes supplying his own rod ends but I can fabricate/supply those too, if needed.

Ah, thanks. That star/dot method works on my desktop, not on my phone. The old forum allowed for a click on the thread title to lead me to the latest unread post.

Why does the new system always take me to the first post of every thread depsite being signed in, having read them through and even posted in some cases? Is there a setting i can change?

I've only heard of the RE4R01A transmisson causing a seizing condition once but its possible. There is a video series covering the in-depth teardown of one done by a shop in New Jersey (Thanks for sharing this vid, Cuong Nguyen) and I think he was the person who references a transmission causing a similar scenario.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkOh man, thats wild! My OEM bushings were on the way out but it looks like there was no material left at all in yours! I swapped mine for polyurethane units and love them. Glad you got it fixed. Seems like a gamble to drive in that condition.

Yea, that's old news! You don't remember that happening early 2017? Unfortunately sliders wouldn't have helped in that situation. It was a huge tree I slid into while getting over a log on an off-camber trail. I have sliders sitting in my garage, just haven't put them on along with a bunch of parts.

Made a recent trip to out east, exploring the area as we went along with no real plan in mind. The state turns to dry, arid desert really quickly. 2hrs from home and it was about 40 degrees hotter and dry. Great short trip with my family.

I had a S15 flatbed dually with the 3.8 and it had plenty of power but the weak link was the 700r4. That tranny is not designed for heavy loads. Went through 3 of them despite using a HD cooler. For the work required to swap, unless I got a donor vehicle for free I dont think the effort is worth the end result.

Interesting. Ill have to try the app. Ive been eye balling a few sound deadening materials to drop the noise level on long trips but overall my interior noise level is not bad under light throttle. I dont know what the current DB's are but om assuming they're up there. 2.5 exhaust with 33x12.5 BFG MT's and AT's. The AT's are much quieter obviously.

Like Hawairish mentioned earlier, Ive started working with him on the design of these brackets. He sent me the data to punch out a set, using his current iteration, so I can start mock up on my rig and work with him on the R&D end. I have a chunk of time coming up and plan to push on this project so I can finally get rid of the XJ bumper and help however I can to get these on the market!

Looking good! Ferrariowner123 also has a full DIN CB that I dig. Im really loving the wide face, easy read display and bright color these units have.
Did you have to modify anything to the factory mounts for it to fit?

I have to agree with Hawairish and Mjotrainbrain. These rigs have plenty of flex with the rear swaybar installed. I have had no problem reaching maximum articulation with it.

Mine turns off almost instantly. never had it on that long but maybe its a sending unit issue like Ferrariowner123 said. i use 5-30 full synthetic oil and a $9 K&N filter from amazon. no problems other than the typical oil consumption of 3.5's

Ask the guy who made this video. Hes super helpful and runs AAA-1 Transmission in NY. Just pop the question on this video thread and he seems to respond quickly

No problem. Poly works for me and i wheel some moderately technical trails as well as pull a 18ft camper.
