  1. Common occurrence. I took some heavy speaker wire, it was pretty well handled by the time i found it.. Just up the road about 5 min drive! Should have got more...
  2. Ok, to clarify. Im holding off on the white bronco, but i did the yard work for the green bronco, so a radius arm sas pathfinder may be on my horizon... The link was nice, but if anyone has direction to a write up on the radius arm & rear axle swap I'm all ears, or eyes, or whatever. I just wanna know if i need to reposition spring cups/ reconfigure driveshafts if necessary due to lift(?) w sas/ rear spring/coil/ rear set up w minimal lift and fab. I am thinking fully locked rear and 33's/35s w nice trim job.. Do i need different coils? Any coil suggestions as far as which fit? Coil cups? S Just the usual questions in mod land, and just like anyone else i would like to yield the most amount of 4x4ability for the least amount of $$$. Im well on my way, mahalo to all Oh i have some photos of abandoned cars to trip ppl out!
  3. Holding off on that bronco. Even as much as i want it, its a lot of rust.. I found a set of aluminum factory wheels to throw on, will the 33x10.50s be ok on a set of the 15x8s? Or at least 32s? And, is this red path lifted, ya think? ^^. Either way thats about the tire size I'm shooting for, and then just build the internals. Thanks again for all the input, and yet another chill forum. I posted briefly on pirate, then completely remembered why i never post on there. Guess i don't drink enough monster or roll coal often enough to care about those opinions!
  4. Darn fine, much cleaner than my hi ride!
  5. As in, im doing 6-8 hrs of yard work on Wednesday, and receiving this parts bronco for my work!
  6. Thanks for the link! Got a bronco parts truck lined up for some yard work..!
  7. Anyone put a bronco radius arm sas suspension on!
  8. 727 square miles.. Ppl often abandon vehicles here, so that creates the market floor. Its been blowing my mind, a guy today told me he got a porsche 912 for free! My neighbor has a 70s 911 and 914, he has around 2000$ in both of them! Ppl have dreams, but no parts or abilities out here. The cost of living is high as are the grocery bills! So i think ppl have dreams, then have to sustain their realities... Old toyotas are freaking gold. Check out old toyotas on craigslist in Hawaii, and get ready to blow your own mind. 90s extended cabs listed for 8-9000$. Ha!
  9. Thats what i was thinking.. Haven't seen it yet, but yea. My buddy days it is just sitting there for the taking so he took some pics for me. I might be trading the pathfinder for a 66 bronco! But not concrete on that. If i do I'm taking those solid axles and the t case off the camo junk truck and putting it under the grey truck... Screw it i have time and a yard! And i will have a 66 bronco that runs for 300$ All pics: http://s1372.photobucket.com/user/Doug_Locklair/library/?view=recent&page=1 What do you all reckon i do?
  10. That is my windshield plus parts truck^^. $165 Here is the abandoned sas truck.. Can anyone make out the axle? D44?
  11. So, I think I have a new timing belt... Plugs wires and distributor as seen in photo. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/31207-87-twin-turbo-sas-1-inch-liftf/ The lift size I want^^ Has anyone ever just replaced factory hubs, and fender trimmed to fit 33s w no lift on a pathfinder? Will it work?? I already scored one parts truck, and am well on my way to sourcing a free solid axle front from a different abandoned nissan..
  12. Moved from utah to maui, and left my benz-turbodiesel-OMElifted-arb'd-85 4runner on wvo behind... (Cant let that rust out on the island!!) From 4x4 paradise to paradise with mud! So i scored a pathfinder in maui. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . And, it runs a little funny. In overdrive maybe only, it stutters. Like a shakiness at low rpm, around 45/50/55 mph... When I accelerate it seems to all be there... Could use a tune up, but most power I would imagine is there... I want to flush the tranny, and check the tranny cooler filter? Then try to source a bigger tranny cooler.. As I have read. Should I start by tranny flush, tranny cooler flush, and t cooler filter until I source the larger tranny cooler? I it around today out of overdrive and it felt I wanna say a lot smoother, but I wasn't cruising too far as this is the island of maui, and i haven't seen speed limits above 55mph... Not to mention I'm not quite registered. Also cleaned my light switch out, but the lights only turn off completely w the knob turned off, but in the bright lights (forward) positioning? Is this normal? Here comes the good news... I got this bad boy, this 62000 mile (!) white 93 Nissan pathfinder xe 4x4 w lsd, power windows, mirrors, and light rust for 295.00$ cash! (-Pulled $5.00 of change out of it, it was really 300$) It had a cracked windshield, so I hopped back on craigslist and scored an entire truck for $165, towing it this week to dismantle and cut apart... I am most curious about a cheap and easy sas, or reversing a rear axle and sas readying it. Any parts list or tips would be helpful. Secondly, I saw a double transfer case adaptation somewhere, maybe on here?? Once again, any parts list or tips... Id love to put them to use. Just want to build a sound pathfinder for surfing, and camping and getting up muddy mountains. Doug in Hawaii. Mahalo!!
