  1. FYI just replaced rear springs in 2000 pathy. Wow what a difference. took all of 30 min to do after wheels were off. my truck was bottoming out (harsh) thru whoops and speed bumps. Firmed truck up and added only 1/2 inch of lift. All for the cost of about $45 shipped to my door from rock auto. Cheaper than a set of shocks.
  2. yes heating element same on d/s and p/s . I got lucky and picked up a heated seat bottom for $50.0. - 4 bolts for seat . I think I unplugged 4 or 5 connectors. then 4 bolts hold seat cusion to frame. Its kind of a PITA to get cushion back in frame. The frame mounts have swivels etc for electric seat movement and I think I only cussed 3x to get seat bottom back in. It took about 1hr but I took my time
  3. FYI Found a good solution. Seat bottom from passenger side is the same except for the frame. THe mounting holes are off about 2 " I just cut the hog rings off and transferred seat foam and leather to the D/S seat frame reattached and bolted back in. Looks like new.
  4. where is the best place to find replacement leather (on a budget) for a 2000 pathfinder le? I've checked a couple of junkyard and have come up empty. Also checked ebay and everything is complete set. Just need seat bottom . any sources out there that are resonable? thx
  5. Finally got down to noise. Started taking belts off wasn't a/c. noise stopped at alt belt. I felt sure it was pully or alt. Replaced both. Noise was still there. I just started tightning belt more and more noise went away. I can't beleive I didn't check belt first but I didn't want to overtighten and it seemed very tight. After 2 weeks I plan on checking belts again. Thanks all. ps Timing belt change was a PITA but very do-able.
  6. yes put new tensioner on with belt...I'll report back soon
  7. Just finished up timing belt on 2000 pathfinder I set marks and counted the 40 and 43 between cam and crank checked 3 times. reinstalled all new belts( 4 )including timing belt. put back together. cranked right up no knocking but I get a horrble sheiking noise I followed tension specs on timing belt and just tightened ps alt and ac belts I canted tell where noise is coming from Can I run engine with all belts removed? (not timing) Maybe then I can isolate noise ant thougths? thx
